Ibanez

Description

Part of the PF Performance Guitar Series, the PF15VS is a budget-friendly dreadnought with a spruce top, mahogany neck, back and sides, and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. Though it's a cost-effective model, Ibanez gave it X bracing to help make it more structurally sound. It also comes with ivory body binding, a multi-rosette, chrome die-cast tuners, and a gorgeous Vintage Sunburst finish.

The guitar was pretty well set up out of the box. Neck feel is great for me and the sound is loud and good. All and all, very pleased with the purchase.

I have been playing guitar for years and this was the guitar I started on. I didn't get it from GC but from a small music shop but still the same guitar. I loved this thing up to when I sold it to upgrade to a more advanced guitar. The thing plays pretty good and the neck is nice for the price. The looks leave something to be desired but I think it looks pretty good. The wood grain on the back of the guitar with the darker burst looks great to me. The guitar does need some care. Out of the shop it didn't have amazing action and the strings weren't great. I only had to change the strings to a quality pair and adjust the neck and it was ready to rock. I played many a jam session and practice hundreds of hours on the guitar and it served me well. Definitely would recommend to a starting guitarist.

I bought this guitar to have something inexpensive in the family room that could be left out without concern, and could be brought outside for fires and camping. The all-laminate construction appealed to me for this. The burst is not nearly as quality in person as you'd think, even for the price point. The interior is full of excess glue and even some shavings. The guitar is very light, and it feels toy-like in the hands. The action and neck feel really good, but the thing never stays in tune. I bought this after buying the PF1512 because that 12-string impressed me. This did not. I think a Yamaha F335 would be a better buy. This would be god for a kid up to pre-teen age to learn on, that's about it.
