Ibanez

Description

The Ibanez AEG20E is an acoustic-electric guitar with a slim neck, feedback-resistant body, warm resonant tones, and a gorgeous flamed sycamore top that make it a fine live-performance guitar. Making the AEG20E even more live-performance-friendly are the Ibanez guitar's onboard chromatic tuner and balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

The beautifully inlaid headstock and rosette add flash that'll really register under stage lights. The Ibanez AEG20E is a sweet guitar to look at and to listen to with a price that belies its refinement.

It's good

As my first acoustic-electric guitar, I couldn't ask for more. I've had this guitar for a little less than a year, but that's long enough to know how good of a guitar it really is! It all starts with the natural flame sunburst top. It really catches the eye! Also, the super sleek neck and head really turn heads too! That's enough for the looks, but now for the sound and other qualities. It has a nice crisp tone that is as good as it gets. However, it also is nice, soft, and warm when you want it to be. The tuners are also amazing. I rarely have to adjust them! Finally, the tuner that comes in the guitar is also stunning! It is so easy to tune the guitar with just the push of a button and turn of the tuners. It sounds amazing. Put all of these qualities together and you have one great guitar!

Good Sound, Bad Features

This guitar sounds great, but it doesn't stay in tune for long. I don't know if it could stay in tune for long if the stock tuners are replaced with better or even locking tuners. Just like how another reviewer said, I noticed that the frets are physically sharp. I think the only electronics within this guitar worth having is the tuner. I don't really like the EQ. Running through the clean channel of an amp sounds fuzzy.

I normally wouldnt rate a guitar this soon (just got it a couple days ago) but...In 1999 I bought an "Ibanez Performance PF-5CENT" that has been a dream, just a little big for me so I decided to go a little smaller. I picked up an Ibanez AEG20II-VV, took in into the "high end" room & played it side by side to 5 different Taylors in the $1500 - $2500...the AEG held its own. Incredible sound, very comfortable size & very smooth action. Also a beautiful finish. If I ever perform on stage someday I might consider a more expensive accoustic, although the AEG might still be fine. I expect to own this guitar for the rest of my life...Check out an Ibanez if your looking for any style guitar....they are making some great guitars right now

This guitar is fantastic. Every time I open my case I look at it for a minute and it never gets old. The tone is great, and there is little to no buzzing on any of the strings. I would recommend this to any low-high intermediate player. The only complaint I have is that the amp input is a placed a little inconveniently, while it doesn't affect me sitting and playing, it's hard to put on a guitar stand. Otherwise great guitar, and by no means should that stop you from purchasing it.

As for all acoustic guitars, intonation and height is hard to adjust since the bridge doesn't have adjustable saddles, but a piece that determines the fate of all of the strings. They can't really be adjusted individually. This guitar doesn't stay in tune for a minute, though it sounds and looks cool.

I got this acoustic to replace my old one and not only do the looks kill but the sound it makes blew me away. It is incredible! When i hit certain chords it makes the coolest sound and is extremely impressive when plugged in. I will NEVER trade this guitar in for anything else. Also get the case made for this baby, you don't want to screw up this guitar in your lifetime. Best gift I've ever gotten in my life.

For the price, you simply will not find a nicer sounding, easy to play guitar. I'm an intermediate player. I'm not in a band, so I can't speak to it's durability. As far as sound quality and playability, it's phenomenal. And, it's one of the most beautiful instruments I've ever seen. I LOVE IT. You will not be disappointed.
