With the GT 062 two-drive tabletop FireWure/USB 2.0 external drive you'll have four configuration options to help you stay focused on your creative process and not on the loss of your labor of love. While you're working with your audio and video applications, you won't need to worry about losing any of your valuable compositions.

RAID 1 writes the same data to both hard drives at the same time, giving you real-time backup. Should one drive fail, you can rest assured it's on the other. RAID 0 (striping), which is more beneficial when working on editing video, enormous graphic files, sound libraries, and streaming instruments that play a multitude of samples simultaneously. It increases drive system performance by spreading these data-heavy projects across both drives. The JBOD mode is suited for auido production, while the Spanning mode shows the GT 062's dual drives as one entity. The Glyph Manager utility software will also ease your mind as it displays a health status meter, alerting you to any errors when a problem is detected so you can back important data before any potential permanent losses are incurred.

Connectivity-wise, the back panel has mulitple inputs, including two FW800, one FW400, and one USB 2.0. It also features sound-dampening metal made specifically to absorb drive vibration.
