Gamechanger Audio

Description

The Gamechanger Audio Plus Pedal II piano-style sustain pedal turns instruments, voices and other sound sources into sustained layers that can evolve beneath a live performance. Its Spectral Sampling and Real-time Audio Sampling engines preserve the timbre, dynamics and harmonic character of the input rather than freezing a static snapshot. The gradual optical brass pedal responds across its full travel, giving players direct control over layer level and release, while the combo XLR/1/4" input accepts instruments or dynamic microphones through the built-in preamp. For guitarists, producers and experimental performers, the Plus Pedal II provides a tactile way to build pads, drones and sostenuto-style textures without stepping away from the instrument.

Layering Controls Shape Sustained Notes and Textures

Auto Layer Catch detects new note events while the brass pedal remains depressed, allowing fresh layers to accumulate as the performance continues. The Layers control selects up to 10 active layers or Infinite mode for continuously developing textures. Catch settings determine whether all notes, grouped layers or single events enter the sustain pool, while Hold modes determine which layers remain active or begin to decay. Rise and Decay controls shape how each layer enters and fades, and the circular 11-LED display keeps the current layer count and engine state visible.

Resonators and Stereo Effects Expand Layer Processing

Dual resonators introduce upper and lower harmonic movement to sustained material, while the Tone control shapes the overall response. The stereo effects loop can be placed before the sustain engine, within the sustained path or after the combined output, allowing external effects to process the input, captured layers or complete signal. This opens the door to applying modulation, delay, reverb and other effects specifically where they are needed in the signal path. Kill Dry supports wet-only textures, while stereo main outputs and stereo send and return connections provide flexible routing for stage, studio and sound-design setups.

Instrument, Microphone and MIDI Connections Expand Workflow

The combo input provides a 1/4" instrument connection and balanced XLR microphone input with up to +27dB of gain for dynamic microphones; phantom power is not provided. USB-C supports USB-MIDI and firmware updates, while the optional Plus Pedal II footswitch adds dedicated access to Wet, Latch and Hide modes. Operating at 24-bit/44.1kHz, the pedal runs from a standard 9VDC center-negative supply rated for at least 500 mA. With its expressive brass pedal, flexible layering controls and extensive routing options, the Gamechanger Audio Plus Pedal II gives musicians a hands-on way to make sustained sound an active part of a performance or arrangement.
