Full Contact Hardware Telecaster Bridge Gold

I cannot overstate how good this piece of hardware is once mounted to any telecaster regardless of type/origin. I have multiple telecasters, all very nice; mostly Americans of different eras and one '91 Mexican with this bridge installed. This tele is a top-loaded version rebuilt from the ground up (so I could have a project without destroying a $1500 guitar...). I didn't want to string through the body (I have plenty of those) and this bridge allows either set-up. This bridge and the 20 yr old Mexican rebuild are the best playing of all the telecasters I own. Period. Better sustain, better intonation, and better set-ups; rock solid performance. When I say better, I mean way better. Huge. This guitar should not have more sustain (x2) than the others, but it does. Additionally, if you're worried about losing that tele- twang from your bridge I'll say no to that, it sounds like it should. I set-up my own guitars and I'm very skilled, but this is incredibly simple to install and adjust. I'm replacing an American bridge next time, it's easy enough I'll probably just let my dog do it.

I installed this by myself on my MIM Fender Telecaster. I dialed in the intonation perfectly! All parts work as they should and I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering a bridge upgrade or replacement. Also, it's comfortable when muting the strings using my right hand. Also, my guitar stays in tune better now.

I bought a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom and was very happy with the purchase. They keep getting better and better. The steel barrel bridge was pretty good, and believe it-or-not was set-up correctly. At higher volumes it displayed that certain pingy-ness that comes from a thinner, vintage-style bridge. It wasn't terrible, it had some personality to it, but I suspected that it could be improved. The FCH bridge was installed by my local tech and it works better than expected. The notes are more balanced and the sustain has improved. The overall tone is more solid and you can just tell that more contact is being made to the wood of the guitar. Chords ring out nicely and display a maturity and clarity. It did not change the personality or the vibe of the Telecaster. It still has that twang and that certain bite. It has less mass than I originally thought. It is not heavy or bulky. Once installed it looks like any other six saddle bridge.

Have installed this bridge on a MIM ash Tele, and a 72 Tele Custom RW. Really livens the sound, each note in a chord rings out clearly. A little work to install, but well worth it. Wish that you could use it with the three screw types and keep the string-through body. Seems like that should be easy enough to do. Am enjoying the more than doubled sustain.

I had a customer that needed a new bridge for his Tele, and I came across this FCH bridge while researching. He decided to try it, and there is no turning back now! This is the greatest improvement for a Tele that there is, no question. I did a back-to-back comparison with the old bridge (3 pre-comp saddle) and this one, with new strings on each, and not only was the tone better and richer, the sustain increased from 9 seconds to 17 seconds. I would recommend that Fender install these from the factory! If not, then they should be retrofitted to every Tele in the world, vintage or not.
