Chambered Ash Body Resonates With Sustain

The chambered ash body provides resonance and sustain unlike a typical solid ash Telecaster. Ash is a traditional Fender tonewood and chambering it helps the wood vibrate more freely. You'll experience fuller tone with singing sustain that rings out until faded. The chambered design also makes this Telecaster lighter and more comfortable.

Maple Neck and Fingerboard Feel Fast and Smooth

The Player II Telecaster's maple neck and fingerboard feel slick and fast under your fingers. The neck's modern C shape offers an easy grip for all playing styles. 22 medium-jumbo frets extend along the 9.5" radius fingerboard, providing plenty of room for bends and chords. Overall, the neck design ensures effortless transitions across the fingerboard.

Custom Pickups Provide Crisp, Versatile Tone

The Player II Telecaster's custom single-coil pickups produce authentic Fender tone with enhanced clarity and punch.     I purchased this by mistake - I thought I was getting a standard body. When it arrived, I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it has quickly become my favorite guitar. It plays great, sounds great and it's so much more comfortable to hold compared to a Stratocaster or Les Paul.

    I have owned a fender, telecaster MIM before, I really liked it, but after checking out this player Ol with the chambered body and alnico pickups, it is now my go to guitar. Playability and sound are phenomenal!

    This thing rips! After doing a bunch of research, I landed on this as my first electric guitar. The action, sound and overall quality is superb! I ended up swapping the bridge as I prefer the look of the older brass one, it was easy to do and I couldn't be happier.

    I have been playing guitar since I was 9 years old and have owned many Fender, Gibson, and other brand guitars, but I never bought a MIM Fender until this guitar. I was pleasantly surprised when I inspected this guitar to find no flaws, a beautifully dressed fretboard and nice, tight fitting neck joint. I was looking for a chambered Telecaster, and was very happy with this particular Telecaster. It rings out nicely and sustains very well. Then neck was a concern for me as I prefer fatter necks. For some reason, the neck on the guitar I chose from GC, where I live, had what felt to me, to be a slightly larger feeling, more rounded neck, similar to a Fender Professional series guitar. I was not as large, but it came very close. All in all, I am totally pleased with my choice, and happy that my store received from Fender, a guitar that I found to be very fine, and just what I wanted. I would immediately buy another Telecaster chambered Tele, if anything happened to the one I chose. I also found that the local GC in Fort Myers to be a terrific place to shop for gear. We have knowledgeable people, a great store manager in Mark, and a very fine selection of gear.
