Marlon Williams Discusses the Fender American Professional Telecaster | Fender

Description

In the late ‘60s and early ‘70s guitarists wanted hum-free tone based on the sound of an amp about to blow up. You asked—so we listened and created the Telecaster Deluxe in 1973. Today’s version, the American Professional Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker, brings modern, player- oriented features to the stage and studio, and can still make an amp sizzle without breaking a sweat.

With its flexible sound and vintage-voiced pickups, the Telecaster Deluxe adds a touch of girth to the traditional Telecaster twang and bite. From pop and punk to the most brutal modern metal, the Telecaster Deluxe has powered countless recordings and infinite stages, creating the music we love.

The pair of warm, rich-sounding ShawBucker humbucking pickups are voiced specifically for each position, producing powerful, nuanced tones with original Fender sonic DNA. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit that lets your tone shine through in all its glory. The new modern “Deep C”-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.

Love this guitar and have two of them now, however they come in unplayable because the action is so high so you have to send it out for a set up. This has become typical with Fender on the last three guitars and basses I bought from them.

I saw this Tele online and tried to play one locally. I played a few new Professional Telecasters but couldn't find this exact model. I took a chance and ordered it from my local GC store. The first one came in with a couple of issues. One of the frets wasn't installed properly and a tuner was damaged. They had no problem crediting me and ordering another. The second one came in perfect. It needed a setup but now it plays and sounds fantastic. I came close to ordering the MIM "72 Deluxe" Telecaster version but just never liked the old 3 bolt necks and bullet truss rods. I'm so glad I spent the extra $$ to get this one. I feel like it was was made for me. The new tall narrow frets took some getting used to but the pickups sound awesome and the "little bit deeper" C neck feels really good. I am very happy with my purchase.

I was like a kid on Christmas morning waiting for the notification from GC that my new Telecaster had arrived.

Unfortunately additional pictures are unavailable. Blemishes are slight and do not affect the tone or play ability of the instrument.

Hi, I'm about to place an order for telecaster deluxe shawbuker (sunburst) and wondering how long it would take to receive the guitar. I know it's difficult now but would be great to have an estimate. It's LA California. Many thanks,
