Live Looping with Elise Trouw | Fender American Professional Session

Live Looping with Elise Trouw | Fender American Professional Session

Description

The Precision Bass became an essential working instrument by doing a few things exceptionally well, and the American Professional version brings that focused design into Fender's flagship USA series with greater refinement where players feel and hear it most. The Fender American Professional Precision Bass pairs its classic solidbody platform with a 34" Medium C maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass pickup, complemented by ClassicGear Precision controls and a 4-saddle HiMass Pro bridge with string-through-body or top-load setup options. For bassists moving between studio sessions, rehearsals and demanding live work, the American Professional Precision Bass turns the proven P Bass formula into a more polished working instrument.

Alder Construction Preserves the Classic Four-String Foundation

The rosewood-fingerboard version uses an alder body across its available finishes, preserving a consistent solidbody foundation beneath the familiar Precision Bass silhouette. A polyurethane finish and full 34" scale keep the construction conventional, allowing the neck, electronics and hardware refinements to take center stage. The result retains the established P Bass character while incorporating the fit and functional upgrades expected from the American Professional line.

V-Mod III Split-Coil Pickup Keeps Controls Direct

A single V-Mod III split-coil Precision Bass pickup feeds master volume and master tone, keeping the control scheme as direct as the model's reputation suggests. There is no pickup blend or selector to manage, so players can shape output and top end quickly and return attention to touch, dynamics and the ensemble. Fender ClassicGear Precision potentiometers provide smooth, consistent adjustment, refining the familiar two-knob interface without changing its purpose.

Medium C Neck Adds Refined Playing Comfort

The Medium C maple neck combines rolled fingerboard edges with Fender's Super-Natural satin urethane finish and a sculpted heel for a smoother, more finished feel throughout a set. The rosewood fingerboard carries a 9.5" radius and 20 narrow tall frets, while the 1.625" bone nut maintains the familiar four-string Precision Bass width. These refinements enhance comfort and upper-register access without dramatically changing the instrument's established playing feel.

HiMass Pro Hardware Supports Flexible Setup Options

A 4-saddle HiMass Pro bridge gives every string its own adjustment point and supports either string-through-body or top-load installation. Lightweight vintage-style tuning keys with tapered shafts keep the headstock hardware efficient, while nickel/chrome appointments maintain the understated Fender aesthetic. The supplied .045–.105 Fender USA strings complete a familiar four-string setup with practical flexibility at the bridge.

A Refined Precision Bass for Working Players

The American Professional Precision Bass combines the established P Bass character with thoughtful refinements to the neck, electronics and hardware. Its V-Mod III split-coil pickup preserves the direct response of the traditional design, while the refined neck finish and HiMass Pro bridge give touring and recording players practical upgrades. A deluxe molded case is included for transport. Put refined P Bass feel and direct control to work with the Fender American Professional Precision Bass.
