Best value for the money of any stand

Super solid stand. Firm and sturdy without being too bulky or heavy. The quick release lock is great for adjusting on the fly, but the plastic handle has been known to break off sometimes, so be warned. Other than that the stand does everything you could ask for, and for a prettty good price. Obviously DW has higher-end stands, but this one has all you need, anything else is overkill.

Not quite what I thought

I got this stand, anticipating the weight and strength of what ive become accustom to with other DW products. However, Its not as heavy as I would have expected, and the memory lock on it is hard to move up and down. They remind me in weight and feel of the several sound percussion stands I have that are much cheaper but seem to be of similar quality. These stands get the job done but are not quite the quality I expected from DW.

Got this on sale and had a coupon, so, score! Totally worth it for practice or gigs. It's a DW, so it's solid.

This is perfect for the gigging musician. Not too light so that it can't support a ride cymbal and not as heavy as a 9000 series. When you have to "get up and go" and know that you have good gear to support your performance, this stand fills the bill.

Always use DW either for practice or on the road, extremely durable and not expensive for the quality you are getting.
