Whether you're a mobile DJ, club owner or just like to throw epic house parties, you can set the stage for an unforgettable night by adding color changers and wash lights to your show or venue. Both of these devices work hand in hand to help you create a rockin' atmosphere as well as provide enough light so people can see where they're going. When it comes to choosing color changers and wash lights, there is no right or wrong option. It really comes down to personal preference and what kind of ambience you want to create. Things to also consider are how much light you want and what kind of effects you'd like to have. From singular par lights to a fully loaded sound activated light system, color changers and wash lights can be combined to deliver one heck of a show. Wash lights help direct light to one specific area or a wider space, and with the introduction of LED, you can now have more wash light than ever before while using less power. LED lights also generate less heat which the people on the dance floor will certainly appreciate. There are a variety of different LED wash lights available and the ones you choose will depend on which areas you want to illuminate. 

The most commonly used wash light is probably the par light. It provides a circular wash pattern, takes up less space and will still provide the brightness you're looking for. Linear wash lights are usually bars or strips designed to wash a large area like a wall or dance area and can also be used to create a runway effect. Stage wash lights offer a high intensity light for a fairly narrow covering area and are able to create any color in an angled beam. And if you're looking to create some really unusual effects, a rectangular wash light provides you with the ability to light up different sections simultaneously or at alternating intervals. Once you have your wash lights picked out, you'll probably want to combine them with a color changing systems. Color changers can be hooked up to a DMX control so you can run automated or sound activated programs. This gives you the option of creating a strobing effect as well as having different lights or specific colors move to the beat of the music. You can also control how bright or dim you want the lights to be at any time. Color changers and wash lights essentially act as mood lighting for any indoor or outdoor event. Whether you're venue is big or small, you're sure to find a color changing system or wash lights that can help transform any occasion into one very memorable evening.
