The CAD D189 is a supercardioid microphone created for professional singers and musicians. This CAD dynamic mic offers function and amenities to accommodate even the most demanding musical requirements. The mic's broad and flat frequency response yields amazingly natural sound. The supercardioid pattern limits obnoxious feedback (when used close to reinforcement speakers and monitors) and minimizes pickup of peripheral off-axis sound. An impressive internal multistage pop filter reduces wind and breath noise as well.

The CAD D189 microphone has a Flex-Form steel grille screen that provides a strong protective shell while reducing risk of a broken or dented ball screen, ensuring a mic's ability to retain its original shape and its solid and professional look. The mic features the original CAD Impact Noise Rejection system (I.N.R.-2 ) in which a rubber shock mount separates the transducer from the body.
