    This thing looks and sounds fantastic. It's a little heavier than you would expect from a Squire but it sounds great. I put some flatwounds and an Ernie Ball mute noodle on and with my Ampeg it has the best Motown sound. Highly recommend

    I was looking for a p-bass when I saw they'd released the 60's model in limited edition Daphne blue with matching headstock, and I knew she was the one. It's lightweight and low action make it easy to play and I love the way the single coils sound. I would definitely recommend this to others.

    I don't have this bass anymore, it was delivered it by mistake, so while I had it a few days, I played it. And it is very nice. Before I realized it was the wrong guitar (it is very similar looking to the Sonic Series I had actually ordered) I did a quick setup and intonation on the neck. It wasn't bad, but the "E" was buzzing a fret. Once that was done it played as well as I remember the Fender branded J and P basses my friends had back in the 70s-80s. It had a very punchy/growl to the sound. The tuners are smooth and very easy to adjust, even those very small amounts. The pickups have a good sound to them, I've already mentioned the punch-growl this thing can produce. Just a wonderful experience. It came with a set of nice nickel wound 45-65-85-105 strings. The negatives of being a Squier? Eh, the body finish is a truly lovely Sonic Blue, but it's still pretty plain. .. that's about it.. That's the only compplaint I have (and it's not even really a complaint) This is a sweet playing/sounding bass. The cheapest Fender branded P Bass on the GC website is about $150 more than this P Bass.. Both were made in Indonesia. I'd say there a distinct possibility that more expensive Fender branded guitar is the same guitar as this Squier (except for color). Is the "Fender" name worth $150? My only complaint about this guitar, is that I don't have it anymore. lol I'll say it again.. This P Bass sounds really nice and is a great value.

    I already owned a mim p bass when this caught my eye. I've been wanting to fool around with electronics. It played and sounded as good as my mim. Gutted it and put in some SD spb3 pups and 250k CTS pots with Orange drop cap. It was good before but now sounds like a $1000 bass! Get It!

    Excellent fit and finish. The neck is silky smooth. Fret work is very well done. I would say this easily rivals the quality of Fender's player series guitars. Very pleased.

    What allen wrench size is the truss rod? I just bought one from GC and the truss is set deep and it's difficult to confirm the size. I don't wanna guess and risk stripping it. Help!

    All basses vary depending on the density of the wood . Even the same model can vary up to a 1.5 lbs Manufacturers usually only spec size and type of wood. Bass Guitars are generally between 8.00 and 10.00 lbs. The only way to know the weight of an individual instrument is to weigh it. This will be about 8.5 lbs
