Upgrades Elevate the Series to the "Beginners Plus" Realm

This Fender Affinity Squier has been updated with a slim and comfortable C-shaped neck profile, beautiful two-color headstock logo and sealed die-cast tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning.

Restringing and Tuning Made Easy

The guitar tuning machines have a split shaft, which makes restringing easier and prevents the sharp string ends from causing gig bag damage, since they sit inside the shaft. The sealed gear design makes for smooth action and crystal-clear response.

Pickups With Ceramic Magnets for New Voicings

A step up from the very basic Bullet series pickups, these pickups have more character and overall balance for better string response and richer harmonics. They are also voiced in-house under the guidance of Fender’s most tenured pickup experts.

C-Shaped Neck Profile

The comfortable C-shaped neck profile of this instrument (the shape of the neck in cross section) is sculpted to impart a vintage-style playing feel. The most prevalent neck profile shape, it’s remarkably comfortable and is ideal for all playing styles. The Fender Affinity Series Telecaster maple fingerboard electric guitar comes with two Squier single-coil pickups and a sealed die-cast tuning machines with split shafts.

I would choose this guitar over many tele's

So I got this guitar, tbh I wanted to get it as a joke as everyone always says," squier is a bad guitar brand," BUT GUESS WHAT! This guitar is one of the best tele's ive ever played, (make sure you play it at the store before buying in case you don't like it). Fretwork is amazing, not a single sharp fret= yay no shredded up skin. Action was perfect and I had 0 problem tuning this, this stays in tune like a charm, let me say that since this is a budget guitar, it works pretty well, it's not a guitar you have to tune every time you pick it up, it's a guitar that can hold tuning stable for around 5 days, at least it did for me, also I wanted to buy a tele over a strat because it's hard for me whenever I play strata because of the music I love to play, first of all I can't play metal on a strat (especially a budget one). Second of all it does country better, I'm not the biggedt country fan ever, but I believe that this guitar singles out a strat in almost every way, the reason I say that is because you can technically get a solid strat tone out of the right amp with this guitar, I own a fender strat and all I can say is I might return it, this guitar is a guitar I like, I might just return the fender is spent over 1k on and this and get a fender tele, better deal if you ask me, also squier is not a bad brand, its a budget brand, I wasn't expecting this guitar to be that good, I was searching the guitar store for a tele and didn't want to spend to much, I didn't have a tele before because sold my last one because someone gave me double the money I bought that one for, and I wasn't going to buy one that day due to the price range of most GOOD guitars, yet I seen the price on this and to be honest, I bought it that day because of how cheap It was, all I can say is that this guitar is perfect in almost every way for me, I would recommend this guitar to anyone who's a starter or who loves tele's.

Needs New Tuners Out Of The Box

Looks, sounds, and plays just fine fresh out of the box, but I've tried to re-string this guitar twice after receiving it earlier today and the split-post tuners will not grip the high E string hard enough for me to tune it to pitch. I've tried a set of 10s and 11s so far, and the end of the string keeps pulling out from the post under tension. It's frustrating to have to drop more money on a brand new instrument just to be able to restring and tune it, but I guess that's what I have to do

    I am mostly a stay at home guitar player and have only recently gotten into electric guitar. The Affinity level has gotten good reviews so I pulled the trigger on the Tele and I'm very pleased with it. A great instrument for the price point.

    This was my first electric guitar. It arrived well setup and was able to tune it and get started playing right away. It feels high quality, and is easy to adjust. The tone is good and there's lots of room to vary it between the pickups and tone knob.

    I bought this guitar in 2015 at Guitar Center in SLC. I have enjoyed every thing about this guitar and you get way more for your money than you can expect...for sure. Easy to play neck, and setup out of the box was perfect. I have an American Fender telecaster as well as higher end Squires but I alway go back to this comfortable guitar. 5 Stars!
