Description

The BLX24/B58 system contains the Shure BLX2 transmitter equipped with a BETA 58 capsule, and a BLX4 tabletop receiver.

The BETA 58 is a professional-quality mic capsule with a neodymium element and a crisp, clear sound. It is the mic element of choice of many of the world's finest vocalists. With a hotter output than its predecessor, the SM58 and an improved response, it is seen on stages all over the world in some of the most demanding professional environments.

The BLX4R is a rackmountable, lightweight receiver with many features that are ordinarily found only on much more expensive models.

    The BLX operates at frequency bands (H9 to 11, and J11) based on where you live. Check the Shure website before you buy for the bands authorized where you'll be using it. I had to return/exchange my purchase because the band for it was not available in the geographical locations where it will be used. Band J11 seems to cover the most areas in the USA.

    I bought this as a gift for my husband who is a Pastor. The microphone is loud and clear. The only issue we have is that it fades in and out a good bit. It could be something on our end that we are not doing. Will keep it a little while longer to see if it gets any better.

    I have used the wired B58 for 2 years, and I was even happier with the wireless ones. In addition to the convenience, I actually get better vocals and great feedback rejection with these. I highly recommend this for vocals, especially male vocals with a need for a full range. I get a lot of "I thought it was the CD playing" with good tracks. That sums it up, I guess...
