Description

The Corsair Electric Bass from Schecter blends killer performance and debonair styling with a modern twist. Designed for working musicians, the Corsair Bass features a semi-hollow maple body, a 3-piece maple neck with reinforcement rods for stability and an ebony fingerboard for optimal comfort and playability. Equipped with a calibrated EMG TBHZ pickup set, this 4-string bass delivers focused lows, sweeping harmonics and punchy attack. Master volume and blend controls, along with a 2-band EMG Active EQ, put a wide range of sonic possibilities right into your hands. Additional features include a Tune-O-Matic bridge and WSC KG700 Light Weight Vintage Tuners for enhanced tuning stability.

    The bass itsellf is 100% killer. However, the "NEW" bass shipped to me was actually a floor model from a CA store, that had 1/2 dime sized chips in the black paint x2. It totally ruined the value of the bass AND since I rdered it in store, after having traded in 2 instruments, I could only get $62 returned. ▪︎▪︎▪︎The lesson here is DO NOT order an item from a store that is shipped from another store relying on store #2 to actually inspect the item per GC's P&P- the shipping store is not required to inspect the item before shipping it, though they are supposed to, as it is the right thing to do. VERY DISAPPOINTED 😞 😥

    Arrived quickly and ready to rock. I did a few adjustments to preference, plugged it in and woo - it's loud. Always been a fan of hollow basses - right now this is about the nicest one available IMO. The elecs work as intended. Controls are unusual but vastly more practical than standard (boring) 2vol/2tone. Its light but heavy enough to sound incredible AND way more comfortable to play than similar from Hagstrom, Gretsch, Fender etc. Plus the sound on this one puts it in a diff league altogether - def a rocker w EMG active T-bird pickups. It is a BIG guitar w 34" scale but w slim neck, it's comfortable for me & my smallish hands. Plus 34" basses have that great string-swing tone. The finish on my Black bass is flawless, 3ply binding on top & back is sweet. Arrived w hardware clean/polished. Dark ebony fretboard is straight w level frets only a cpl sprouts to deal with. Overall, very happy with fit, finish. playability & sound. This is an awesome addition to my quiver. Just one thing that seems off is the battery placement, BINGO right on your crotch - hmmmm. Not a deal breaker, but def a little weird. Anyhoo, happy to recommend for a rad rocker bass!
