Never played a Legator before this one. I vouch for this one at least. It plays very well. Smooth neck, fret ends, and bridge. Good finish, weight, and overall size. Nut width is on the large size of course, but I can play a barred 8 string chord no problem, personally. Everyone has complimented the looks and the tone and the playability is good so what more can you ask for. I'd recommend you take all of your new guitars to a luthier at a guitar shop to have them measured and set up if you don't do this yourself already just for good practice. Though, the setup out of the box was good. FYI: This listing is jacked up at the time of purchase and posting this review. The GC listing describes an Epiphone guitar for some reason. Also, the listing images are not accurate to the model you'll get in the mail. My guitar came with a one-piece roasted maple neck (listing shows a 5-piece), hive 2.0 pick ups (listing shows 1.0), and mother of pearl inlays (listing appears to have abalone). I got a 2023 serial number made in Korea.

Can wait for my son/guitarist to play this guitar at the Cleveland Agora!

I'm not a professional, but I really love just casually playing. It stays in tune really well and the tone is phenomenal

This guitar is amazing! Especially for the price. I was able to get ahold of it before anyone else, as the market for these types of guitars are very scarce right now. I have down-tuned it to double drop D. And it chugs, it squeals, it does anything you want from it. There is some learning curve with a headless guitar with a multi-scaled neck. It is well worth it. The pick ups are very straightforward and simple; neck, both and bridge. Even with the minimal options, there is a range of tones, but I prefer the bridge for clean metal tones. The aesthetics of this guitar are wonderful. Most guitar manufacturers utilize a high gloss finish, but this one has a very natural wood feel. How they got it to look and feel so good, I am perplexed! It is so light, fast and playable. I cant decide if I want to play it, or admire it. I have never heard of this brand of guitar, but after purchasing this one, I will most certainly watch their productions.

This is an awesome guitar! Great look and feel, with an amazing tone. It compares to similar guitars with a much higher price-point. My only problem with the guitar is the bridge. I've never seen the kind of bridge that the new 2020 legators have. My issue, personally, came up when I attempted to detune it a few steps to match tunings with the rest of my band. My drop G tuning really pushed the bridge to it's limit and really wasn't functional. After two visits with repair personnel at guitar center, I concluded that it simply wasn't designed to be tuned so low, and had to make the return. This is a great guitar if you plan to keep it around the standard tunings, but if you plan on going too much lower, this isn't the guitar for you.

Mine just arrived today and it is absolutely flawless. Legator has unfortunately had a tainted reputation from their earlier runs, which I understand to some degree. I already had a Performance 7 with a single fret issue and the nut wasn't cut right, paint coating and logo faded...but is comfortable even still. But this G8FP is on another level. Zero fret buzz, zero blemishes, and incredible craftsmanship across the board. I'd definitely buy again, and highly recommend this if you are considering one. The longer scale on this makes the fanned frets feel more natural to me, as even though I love my fanned 7's ergonomics, it always takes me a few mins to readjust when going back to my regular fretted guitars. Not with this one. Easily the favorite of my 8 guitars. The Hive pickups aren't my favorite ever, but are totally useable with some tone tweaking...they have defined clarity in the higher range, but it's hard to compete with my Fishmans when it comes to that in the low end. No complaints whatsoever!
