Kramer

Description

Designed for aggressive modern tone and striking stage presence, the Kramer Charlie Parra Vanguard electric guitar bottles the style and power of the Peruvian metal virtuoso. Built around a solid mahogany body and a fast-playing Slim "C" maple neck, this guitar delivers the resonance, sustain and precision demanded by high-gain playing styles. An ebony fingerboard with 24 frets provides a smooth, articulate playing surface, while a set of active EMG 57 and EMG 66 humbuckers supplies the tight low end, focused mids and cutting clarity essential for modern metal. Signature aesthetic touches—including a distinctive Day of the Dead owl inlay at the 12th fret and a vibrant candy apple red gloss finish—give the instrument unmistakable visual identity. Complete with reliable hardware and a premium gig bag, this signature model is built to inspire players chasing powerful tone and confident stage presence.

Mahogany Body with Distinctive Vanguard "V" Shape

The guitar’s Vanguard "V" body shape combines bold visual character with solid tonal foundations. Crafted from mahogany, the body delivers the warmth, sustain and focused midrange response that heavy guitar tones rely on. Its solidbody construction enhances note definition under high gain while maintaining strong resonance for rhythm and lead playing alike. Finished in a striking candy apple red gloss, the instrument commands attention onstage while highlighting the sharp lines of the Vanguard design. The result is a guitar that balances aggressive aesthetics with the tonal depth and durability required for modern metal performance.

Slim "C" Maple Neck and Ebony Fingerboard

A fast and comfortable neck profile is essential for technical guitar playing, and this signature model is built with that in mind. The maple neck features a Slim "C" profile that supports quick position shifts and fluid lead work across the entire fingerboard. With a 24.724" scale length and 24 frets, the ebony fingerboard offers smooth playability and articulate note attack for complex riffs, tapping passages and extended solos. The fingerboard is accented with dot inlays along with a distinctive Day of the Dead owl inlay at the 12th fret, giving the instrument a visual nod to Charlie Parra’s identity and artistic style.

EMG 57/66 Active Humbuckers for Modern Metal Tone

At the core of this guitar’s voice is a powerful active pickup configuration designed for high-output performance. The EMG 57 bridge pickup delivers tight lows and aggressive bite for rhythm parts that cut through dense mixes, while the EMG 66 neck pickup provides clarity and smooth sustain for expressive leads. This HH configuration is paired with a straightforward master volume control layout, allowing players to focus on performance without unnecessary complexity. The result is a versatile tonal platform capable of delivering everything from articulate cleans to the saturated distortion tones favored in modern metal.

Reliable Hardware and Refined Attention to Detail

Stable hardware ensures dependable performance whether practicing, recording or performing live. A LockTone tune-o-matic bridge paired with a LockTone stopbar tailpiece provides solid string anchoring and precise intonation, while mini die-cast tuning machines maintain reliable tuning stability. A Graph Tech nut supports smooth tuning response and consistent sustain across all six strings. Signature touches—including Charlie Parra’s engraved truss rod cover and the guitar’s distinctive fingerboard inlay—reinforce the instrument’s connection to the artist while giving players a visually striking instrument built for real-world use.

A Signature Guitar Built for Modern Metal Players

With its mahogany construction, fast Slim C neck, active EMG pickups and bold Vanguard "V" design, this instrument is built to deliver both powerful tone and unmistakable style. From tight, palm-muted riffs to soaring lead lines, it provides the clarity, sustain and responsiveness modern players demand. Designed to motivate and inspire players chasing high-energy guitar performance, the Kramer Charlie Parra Vanguard signature electric guitar brings together aggressive tone, reliable hardware and signature visual flair in a stage-ready instrument.

I bought one of these on a whim while in Austin and I can't believe how good it is. Fretboard is top notch. The pickups squeal but still retain some of the warmth of passive models. Tuners are the only thing you may want to replace but they are not horrible. It looks like it's chugging even when it's on the rack. I have a much more expensive Les Paul that gets passed over regularly for this. I would by this again without hesitation.
