I use this in my practice area and I have it on my desk so I can adjust it. The fan is SUPER LOUD AND ANNOYING. The power switch is on the back, I hate that. Otherwise it's OK.

I've had this power mixer for several years. I run it sometimes all day long in my music studio, waiting to go in there to play. i may have gotten lucky with a good one. Other's experience may differ.

I've had this unit for a little over 3 years now. I'm just using it for an acoustic duo rehearsal setup in my basement. I'm running it through a couple of Yamaha A12s, and both the vocals and guitars sound great. I'm confused as to why some of the reviews here are saying that the effects sound like garbage. I'm not sure what their expectations are. I found a setting that I like and I've kept it there. It sounds real good to me. Overall, I have been super satisfied with it.

Use for solo acoustic gigging.

Yeah, it works, and it'll do the job, as long as your expectations are reasonable, based on its price. Pros: It's lightweight, easy to lift. Plenty of channels, should be more than enough for smaller bands. It does have a good amount of power, and plenty of headroom available, particularly when it's bridged…should be more than enough for small acts (singles, duo's, trio's) playing smaller venues (bistro and wine bars, patios, wineries, very small clubs, etc.) The cons (again, the price needs be taken into consideration): This thing runs HOT, and the sound of its internal fan is more than just a little noticeable, though only within the mixer itself. The fan noise isn't audible in the speakers. . Cheap plastic controls - that FEEL cheap, the worst of which are the band settings on the graphic EQ's, and, all the buttons feel "loose" (channel pads, graphic EQ in/out, rumble filter etc.) also, the vertical selector switch located below the graphic EQ's, which sets the output between L/R, Main/Monitor, and Bridged, is recessed, and not all that easy to switch between modes without the use of an aid, like a small screw driver. The digital FX sound…well…there's no point in sugar coating it…they sound absolutely horrendous. As far as the mixer's reliability, I've only had it a few weeks, so I've only used it on a half dozen gigs or so…and so far, it's been okay, and has operated without issues. Summary: As long as you're not expecting the overall quality of a better built, higher-priced mixer, and you keep your expectations reasonable for what you've paid for it, then it should be okay for you.

FOR A BACK UP UNIT FOR PERFORMANCES AND PRIVATE PARTIES I WISH IT WOULD HAVE COME WITH 1/4" PORTS TO PLUG IN SPEAKER CORDS I HAD TO BUY ADAPTERS BEFORE I COULD USE IT. BUILT HEAVY ENOUGHT AND SIMPLE TO OPERATE. THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT PEOPLE AREN'T REAL QUICK AT ANSWERING THE PHONE.
