Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA Flame Top Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Body

Vintage-Accurate Tonewood Construction

At the core of this ’60s-spec Les Paul is a foundation of tonewoods that helped define the revered PAF era. The mahogany body imparts warmth and richness to every note, while the AAA figured maple top adds bite and clarity. Together, these woods produce the complex, three-dimensional tones that have made the Les Paul a studio staple for decades. The slim, lightweight build feels effortless whether playing seated or standing.

Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA Flame Top Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Neck

Sculpted ’60s Neck and Fingerboard

Holding true to vintage form, this Les Paul Standard features a SlimTaper ’60s-style mahogany neck carve. The familiar and comfortable profile makes navigating the rosewood fingerboard a breeze, whether you're burning through riffs, or wrapping your hand around chord shapes. The 24.75" scale length and 22 frets give you ample real estate for melodic leads, while trapezoid inlays hark back to the Les Paul's ’60s era.

Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA Flame Top Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Hardware

Burstbucker Pickups Unleash Vintage Mojo

The key to this guitar's authentic vintage voice lies in the Burstbucker 61R and 61T pickups. Meticulously recreated from PAF-era examples, these Alnico V pickups deliver all the warmth, growl and singing sustain that made original ’Bursts legendary. From chimey cleans to snarling overdrive, the Burstbuckers capture every nuance of your playing.

Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA Flame Top Limited-Edition Electric Guitar Hardware

Classic Appointments Enhance Sustain

This Les Paul comes loaded with period-correct hardware that enhances resonance and sustain. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge transfers string energy efficiently, while the aluminum stop bar increases mass and vibrational transfer. Grover Rotomatic "kidney" tuners offer smooth and accurate tuning, while gold top hat knobs with silver reflectors complete the vintage aesthetic.

For players who crave the magic of a ’60s ’Burst, the Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s AAA flame top limited edition is a dream come true. With construction mirroring the original PAF-era Les Pauls down to the last detail, this guitar channels the iconic tone and feel that made ’60s Les Paul models legendary.

One of the best guitars that I have ever owned or played!!!

My wife let me get this for my birthday and Christmas, seen they had a AAA Honey Lemon Burst in stock, called ahead and they said it was sold. I seen they had one in Bourbon Burst so I went down to try it out. When I got there they told me that a half hour after I called the guy brought the Honey Lemon Burst back and that he decided he wanted something else!! I took it out of the case and strummed acoustically, you could feel the vibration coming through the body!!! Next I checked the action and I don't know if they plekked the fretboard at the factory but the string height was nice and low over all 22 frets with no buzz anywhere, played a few runs the whole way up through (key of D and A Major), felt like a comfortable old shoe on my hands!! I had to try a few other guitars out just for comparison to make sure I wasn't spending a few extra bucks on window dressing. Played 2 other Standards, a AA top which was actually marked down in price and a 50's Goldtop with P90's, while both nice guitars they couldn't touch the quality or feel of this AAA!!! So I bought it and took it home and plugged it into my Marshall, the 61r and t humbuckers have THAT rich Gibson Les Paul tone and you back off on the volume knob it cleans right up with great sustain!!! For the life of me I still can't figure out why that guy brought this guitar back, I really don't think he knew what he had!! I guess it was just meant to be, I have gone through dozens and dozens of guitars in my life and I don't buy inexpensive cheap stuff either, Gibson quality is back!!! Worth every penny, I would compare it to an r9 or r0!!!

Great Guitar But starting to wonder if Ill buy fom GC again

"I purchased this guitar in Las Vegas—it's an amazing instrument. The issue is with GC's 45-day exchange policy. I returned the next day to swap my Southern Burst for a Cherry Burst but found a large split seam on the back. I asked if they could order a non-defective one, but was told I'd have to either return or buy another first. Since I already traded in a J Custom Ibanez and paid the difference, please have GC order the replacement to the store without requiring a second payment or return. I need it for a gig next week."

The package came immaculate, no torn boxes (2) and the guitar was completely neat. I got the tri-burst. The guitar has a nice aroma, the smell of quality. I was a little hesitant to order this guitar online. I read that buying a Gibson online was a hit or miss. I can't say that, because my guitar looks, sounds, smells and feels extraordinary. I didn't know if it came properly setup, however, I just tuned the strings and was ready to play it. Inside the hard case I found everything that is advertised including the tool, gibson strap and the paperwork. I checked every fret, string, tuners, paint details and found no mistakes. I was worried that the rosewood fretboard wasn't going to be to my liking, because I like dark rosewood and I've seen alot of LPs standards with light colored rosewood fretboards, for some people is not an issue, however I own a Taylor and a PRS with dark rosewood and I love the feel and the looks. Next step up would be a Gibson Custom. I would definitely buy it again.

Like many, I wanted a Les Paul for years but never played enough to justify the price, and found some great replicas instead. When GC had 30% off the Honey Lemon AAA, my dream guitar, and it was in store, I had to try it. The QC, sound, and feel blew me away. Dream come true, thx GC
