I haven't played a MIM Fender in at least 20 years, so I wasn't sure what to expect quality-wise. I figured I'd have to spend the first few hours doing a full, in-depth setup. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this guitar was beautifully setup right out of the box! Smooth fret work, nice low action with no buzz anywhere up and down the neck, properly radiused saddle heights, pickups raised to their sweet spot... just all around ready to rock. The pickups are beautifully voiced with a nice rich, full timbre. I really expected the bridge pickup to be brittle or harsh but it actually has a surprising amount of low-mid growl giving it a much chunkier tone than I would have thought. Easily tamed with a bit of EQing on the amp to let a classic bite tone shine. Rolling off the volume cleans them up nicely and the tone knob goes from gentle high pass to full-on underwater sounding. Overall very pleased with the quality, fit, finish, and tone. Absolutely killer guitar for the price.

I've been a fender player for a while, telecaster mainly with the occasional strat. This guitar has become my main. Got it cheaper because of damage on the back (two small dents) but didn't bother me. Needed some set up when I brought it home but it was worth it.

I'm a bedroom player who has recently come around to Fender offsets. I have two Player (1 & 2) Jaguars and was thinking about a Jazzmaster when this one went on sale - for the price I couldn't say no! Fender seems to have upped fit and finish on the Player II series and I'm very happy with the quality: the neck feels really good, the frets are nicely dressed, the hardware is all solid, it plays wonderfully, and the pickups sound great (and distinct) to my ear. The "special run" British racing green is beautiful too. The only potential negatives are the lack of a rhythm circuit (I don't mind - some may), bridge placement isn't vintage correct (again, I don't care) and mine was poorly set up from the factory (I got it straight out of the box at my local GC): the action was very high which I remedied myself by tweaking the truss Rod and lowering the bridge. I also replaced the OEM strings with a set of EB 10s - now it plays as it should. If you're not ok with doing your own work, factor it in that there's a chance you'll need a proper set up done. All in all a super fun guitar with a unique sound. #sweepstakes

This Jazzmaster is the third model in the Player II line (behind the Telecaster & Jaguar) that I've had the pleasure of owning. The exclusive GC British Racing Green is beautiful in person, it sounds great, and screams quality. Since purchasing, I have conditioned the ((very dry)) fretboard, added locking tuners, and swapped in the pickups from an American Vintage II '66 JM. This thing is an absolute joy to play!

Has been a solid jazzmaster. The player II necks are very comfortable. The British racing green is awesome too, drastically changes from black to green in different lighting. #sweepstakes
