Pleasantly impressed

I wanted to know if the good comments I was seeing about these basses were true. I drove to the local GC and was impressed immediately from 1st grab. The neck is wonderfully shaped, its thicker in the shoulders than the modern c I was used to, better. The weight of the bass was just what I want, heavy enough to resonate, but not so heavy as to give me back issues. The satin neck back was welcome. Tonally the pickups have some punch, strong, balanced, not as defined or clear on the high end, but pleasant. I currently have 8 Fender basses and play nightly, and while this one is the least expensive of the bunch, I love playing it. I also want to add that I find the finish mesmerizing. I am a nitrocelulose guy, and was concerned that the finish would be over the top, but I really like the flame maple in the blue and find myself staring into it often. I would highly recommend this bass.

Not sure I will order one.

I did order one and did purchase it. Found out is was unplayable because of the neck and freet work. GC opened another box right out the box the other Bass had the same issue. They want to order another one from their warehouse. So well see. Not happy!

    The action was way too high but that would be easily corrected. My major issue was the frets. They were all so sharp that after only a few minutes, I thought I would need Band-Aids for cuts if I played any longer. I was totally disappointed since I went in with the intention to purchase.

    Buy this right away, I played the American Jazz bass and while technically a better bass, for the money this bass is better.

    I bought this 11 months ago, and it has become my favorite bass in my collection! This gets played every Sunday with few exceptions at my church. Love the look. Great feel on the neck. Plays smooth as butter. I love this bass!
