Ready for action in the studio, or on the stage, the Player Jazz Bass Fretless can take anything you can think of—and everything you haven’t yet.

Respecting heritage while maintaining innovative spirit, the two growling Player Series single-coil pickups are packed with legendary Fender bass tone, turned up to 11 for modern ears. Volume controls for each and a master tone control are close to hand to shape the pickups’ powerful voice, so you can easily craft your sound.

The "Modern C"-shaped maple neck's hosts a 9.5"-radius fingerboard that's ideal for almost any playing style, while the 4-saddle bridge is engineered for accurate intonation and easy action adjustment so you can personalize the feel to your playing style and taste.

Other features include a 3-ply pickguard, synthetic bone nut, vintage-style disc string trees, open-gear tuning machines and a four-bolt "F"-stamped neck plate that marks this instrument as the real deal—as Fender as it gets.

    Beautiful bass, plays great, good entry level fretless. feels silky smooth, love the neck and the flat wounds. this is my first fretless bass, love having the fret lines to keep me on track. required very minor setup. gave 4 stars due to first bass arriving damaged, very poor-quality control from factory.

    I have always been into experimentation when it comes to the sounds that can be produced by musical instruments as far back as grade school and my trumpet. The fretless bass is going to expand that in my future playing.

    This is my first jazz bass and my first fretless and I absolutely love it! It was flawless right out of the box; perfectly straight neck, super low action, flatwound strings already installed and a mesmerizing finish. The sunburst on this one is much darker and deeper than the yellowish-orange of my Squier PJ. Playing a fretless is pretty different from a fretted bass but after a few hours of practice it feels very natural and the slides and tones you can get are phenomenal. Fender's new Player series is definitely a winner!

    Originally purchased less expensive Fretless Squier bass and was not very happy with quality vs cost. However, this bass has been a pleasant surprise. The sound quality is fantastic for this price range. Neck feels great making the playability similar to that of a higher end bass. Have been very happy in both jam and recording sessions. Highly recommend if you want to get into playing a Fretless without breaking the bank.
