When I picked up this guitar it reminded me of a few other times when I laid my hands on my favorite guitars for the first time. The first time I picked up my favorite tele. The first time I picked up my favorite PRS. This is a top notch instrument. The 12" radius is just a brilliant idea. The soft v neck carve just feels like home. The pickups are all strat with a lot of warmth and depth. The sounds have that start bite but it's also thicker rounder. Modern strat pickups can sound so scooped out like it's all bass and treble. These are very balanced very vintage but with a bit more girth. So refreshing. The weight is very manageable not a heavy boat anchor. Perfectly balanced standing or sitting. So many sounds and options. From rock blues country jazz it's very versatile. The paint job fit and finish are immaculate. It feels not so much like a guitar but an instrument built for classic tones and comfortable playing. If you can manage the price you'll be so happy with it. Highly recommended from a guy that owns too many guitars.

Of the seven Strat's I own, this Rosewood fretboard EJ Strat is by far my favorite. The tone and fullness from these EJ pickups is spectacular! The fretboard is flatter than a regular Strat' so it feels a bit faster and easier to play, especially if you set it up with {near} zero relief. The rosewood fretboard is not gritty, pitted rosewood -- rather very smooth. The bound fret board looks really classy...something Fender did for only a brief time (I think) in the mid '60s. These RW EJ Strats don't seem to have that sticky nitro' feel that the maple fretboard EJ Strats are known for. The bridge comes 'decked' with 5 tremolo springs -- leave it decked, do not float the bridge... I've owned four EJ Strat's and they stay in tune much better that way. However, remove two of the five tremolo springs if you want to use the tremolo bar. IMNever2BHO, these EJ Strat's are the very finest production Stratocasters Fender makes! If you're even thinking about purchasing one of these EJ RW Strat's, just do it! You'll thank me later! :)

I love this guitar. Its clean sound is amazing. I haven't tried it with an overdrive pedal yet, but I am pretty sure I will sound just as good. I also like that is not heavy at all, before I bought this guitar I had a Godin Xtsa and that one was the heaviest guitar ever. So I would highly recommend this Fender to anyone, for any style.

The action on this guitar is awesome. Did not need any adjustments whatsoever right from the factory. I got the candy apple red i love it. Liked it so much i purchased three E.J.. Different colors of course. The sound is great, lightweight Can play all day with and not put it down. Definitely the best choice Ive made thus far.

i've been playing guitar for eight years now and i wanted that guitar that can do it all. this monster can play everything from blues to jazz to metal to fusion. all i can say is if you can get your hands on this puppy get it. not only is the sound great but the looks are gorgeous too. i got the medium palomino metallic and it looks like copper and coffee mixed.
