Description

The Deluxe Bass Big Muff Pi distortion effects pedal is the latest in the line of EHX bass specific effects. It delivers enhancements to the classic Bass Big Muff Pi specifically tailored to the needs of the modern bass player and gives you more tone-shaping options than ever before. The Deluxe Bass Muff Pi features switchable 0dB and –10dB input to accommodate both passive and active pickups, built-in noise gate, blend control to mix dry and distorted signals, footswitchable crossover with variable low-pass filter on the dry signal and high-pass filter on the distorted signal. It even has Effect, Direct and XLR D.I. outputs.

Features

  • Pad on the input that's switchable between 0dB and –10dB ensures the pedal is optimized for use with both passive and active pickups
  • Blend allows a player to mix to taste the direct and distorted signals
  • Three outputs: a 1/4" effect out, 1/4" direct (buffered dry) out and XLR D.I. out give complete control of your output signal and sound
  • Footswitchable crossover section with a variable low-pass filter on the dry signal and a variable high-pass filter on the distorted signal give bassists the ability to sculpt their sound
  • Crossover circuit, in conjunction with the Blend control, lets you keep the low end clear and focused, and the high end bright and cutting

sick!

This pedal is sick to almost disgusting! From the moment i started muckin about with the knobs i kinda felt like god. This pedal just does it. I do extreme sludge twisted wreck the house style..and this thing is perfect. For the money there is no better all around bass disto pedal...even without the disto it just has so much of a wide range of tone. The hfp and lfp are wickedly divine. The only other pedal for disto/fuzz i use is the blower box/idiotbox for a distinct blacky (voivod) tone. This is definitely the best pedal for all around tone for the cash. I have the mxr bass di as well but it did not provide enough. If you are looking to maniacally scream at the top of your lungs while band members look on in horror..this is the pedal for you!

Worst pedal ever

When I first tried it, it didn't work at all, so I replaced the battery, but it still didn't work. I only could get the bypassed tone of my bass. It wasn't until I tried the bypass switch that I finally got some awful distorted sound from it. There was a lot of static, and hardly any volume. I didn't get any of the sounds shown in any of the videos of this pedal.

    For a small pedal it sounds great. This was also my first and favorite pedal I've purchased with all the options your not limited to sounds. Great for anyone that's looking for a distortion pedal and gate pedal. The blend control is very useful instead of a switch. Would buy again.

    I'm in a three-piece rock band. I wanted something that would give my parts more drive and fill that gap between the deep fundamentals and the range of the lead guitar. Works well when appropriate for the song and the degree of distortion can be adjusted so that it is not overbearing. I also put a 10-band EQ at the end of the chain to roll off the highs.

    I've owned a similar pedal but this one has nuances my older one lacks. If it had a compressor this would be a one stop shop for bassists. Close enough tho.

    Primarily use this for heavier, synth-like basslines, but it works like a drive pedal too. Knobs allow for many options, whether you want something fit for a leading line or something fit for a fusion band

    This is the 1st pedal I've ever bought for my bass guitar (Ibanez soundgear gsr 190) and it is great. I'm enjoying tweaking the settings on it just as much as I am performing with it. Worth the money.
