I wrote the previous review - there are plenty of lows . Where my amp is set up its low light , and i have poor close eyesight . I was turning up the resonance on the clean channel . haha . Hey, im a musician. We are airheads. It has plenty of lows . You can get it to start flubbing out and breaking up if you wanted . It is still a mid focused amp but you can dial in lows if need be. My bad.

I have tried many amps lately . Thank you guitar center for honoring all my returns. Finding good tone is hard these days. Should have thought about ol' Eddie sooner. This thing is a fire breather ! In your face ! I will first say, i am not going through any kind of closed 4x12 cabinets . My first ever cabinet was a mitchell 2x12 front ported and ive never liked 4x12 closed ever since . So my cabs are front ported 2 2x12 Genz Benz G flex cabs with the stock speakers. Best cabinets ever in my opinion . They emphasize whatever your amp does. They let your amp be itself . They make your eq actually useful so...i cant speak for this amp going through closed back cabs. The one thing this amp emphasizes is upper mids . In the description it says it puts more emphasis on low mids - i dont hear that . Especially with my cabs because they are known for emphasizing lows. When i think low mids i think of Mesa Boogie . This amp is like the perfect modded marshall but with gain specifically for metal . Upper midrange. You will not get lost in a mix with this thing . At all ! Now i have sort of a tiny complaint about this . I know most amps are " voiced " for a specific thing , and upper mids are useful , but when playing alone ( not with a band , just jamming ) i like lows . I futzed around with the low resonance and the low on the eq , but the lows don't really happen like i hoped . 7 stringers and down tuners ( i only go full step down on 6 string standard tune ) will love this as it tightens up their sound , but i was hoping to get a little more out of the lows . Im looking to get an empress eq so that may help. But i get the gist of a mid focused tight amp. The other complaint is noise . On the gain channel it is hisssssss ! You will need a noise gate . Also the clean channel is more like a dirt channel . its only clean if you move it a hair from off to barely on. Otherwise its breakup . Very weird .
