Description

The ESP E-II Eclipse DB is a high-performance electric guitar built for serious rock and metal players. Its set-neck design and 22 extra jumbo frets allow for fast playability up and down the rosewood fingerboard. The Eclipse DB is equipped with active EMG 60 and 81 pickups that produce tones ranging from warm and full to aggressive and screaming.

    I heard a bunch of negative things about the E-II vs ESP Standards. People saying they are not the same. That the Standards are soo much better. Let me squash this myth. The E-II is a wickedly awesome guitar made in the same factory, by the same people as the standards were. I've only played a used standard briefly and my new Eclipse Black Satin BB is a beast. Besides needing a little more sensitive setup, the guitar came from the factory flawless. The roaring and tight tones this guitar produces is really special. NIce, solid builld and quite heavier than she looks. You can hear the weight in the tone. Clear notes even through a high gain amp at loud volumes. Guitar seriously chunks without being noisy. I traded out of a Jackson USA WR1 and I don't miss it once I plugged the Eclipse in. The Eclipse weighs more, is better balanced and has has a deeper more articulated tone than the Jackson. Even par on playability but the Eclipse is the heavier sounding axe. The Eclipse feels like it will last a lifetime. Very happy.

    5 star guitar for sure. I gave it 4 because it took me 3 to actually get one i liked. The first was one was beautiful but had a neck irregularity which caused buzz.The second played great but i just didnt like the quilt.3rd time was a charm. Perfect guitar. Bottom line, plays great, sounds great, looks great (pics dont do it justice). Production defect on the first one aside, It is a pretty awesome guitar

    Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the guitars play ability.
