Best Amp in it's range

I'm the type of person who has played ALOT os musical equipment. And when i got this Behringer for free with the Bass I was buying. I wasn't too excited, Behringer although they have great tone, in my experience don't last too long though. And initially I ignored this amp for my other amp. I played it a month or 2 later out of curiosity. And since then it's been my favorite Practice amp. Great sound, although limited in tone options, but who needs equalizers for practice. It's solid as a rock, I've stood on it, kicked it, dropped it, and it's still works like new. Even the amps looks almost as good as new. Best practice amp in it's price range.

Great tone, poor build quality

I got this to use as a practice amp and for some recording in my home studio. The tone is top notch for an amp in this price range. I use my Dad's larger Behringer Amp or my family friend's Fender Bassman when I gig so I knew I wouldn't need volume. I really wanted to add another dimension to my bass recordings by micing this amp in addition to recording direct. Instead, I found a number of random vibration noises that correlate with me playing certain notes. however, I discovered that when I used the amp as a foot rest while playing, all humming and rattling went away, which leads me to believe that its just not put together well. It should be noted that when I do this little trick, my recordings come out great. Great tone, poor build quality.

If your expecting it to be as loud as a 15 watt guitar amp you will be disappointed. However it works well for my purposes. I use it as a keyboard amp and to play drum beats/samples from reason/fruity loops. In that respect it works quite well and is clear with a good tone. I also use it for recording bass; with a compressor in front of it it sounds pretty sick. i bought it used from a pawn shop and have had no trouble with buzzing at any volume or pitch aside from absurdly low kick sounds.

I got this just for some playing around the house when I got my first bass three years back. I really like the tone and the look of it. I got into bass just so I could lay some real bass lines on my own recordings. This amp was not good in that department. There are a few notes on the neck that produce a pretty loud buzzing sound from the cabinet. I tried unscrewing everything and basically putting it back together again with all the screws tightened and it still buzzed. So I can't record with it, oh well. I still really like it as a cheap practice amp but if you're trying to have it pull double duty as a studio amp like I was, then I'd look at a 12 inch speaker with maybe some on-board modelling effects.

I needed this bass to practice when ever I'm not with my band. This amp is good for that and only that. It makes nice sound, when you aren't trying to blast it. You would need to do that because it isnt very loud at all. Plus it crakles of you try to make it as loud as possible. But its cheap and its good if your by yourself or something.
