This Beard Lotus Squareneck acoustic-electric resonator guitar is a professional-level instrument that features individual attributes never before combined in a single Beard resonator guitar. Designed to serve the needs of both traditional and modern players, the Lotus employs tone-enhancing and aesthetic elements usually found only in higher-priced custom instruments, including a Finnish birch veneer body constructed in the larger, Beard E open body format with a radiused back for unmatched balanced projection and brilliance. The hand-rounded edges give the Lotus resonator a sleek profile while providing complete playing comfort. At the heart of the Beard Lotus is the handspun Beard Legend Cone driven by the Beard Original #14 sandcast spider bridge.

Giving you plug-and-play convenience, the Beard Lotus Squareneck resonator comes equipped with a Fishman Nashville bridge pickup for the player who performs in an amplified environment. This pickup was designed for bluegrass legend Jerry Douglas and produces a natural, dynamic amplified sound. The Nashville pickup requires no battery to operate and is state of the art for resonator pickups. The Fishman Nashville Series pickup mates with the Fishman Jerry Douglas Aura pedal (sold separately, see SKU# 500727) to provide 16 studio-quality microphone images for use with live front-of-house sound.

Adding to its one-of-a-kindness, it has a matching chrome Lotus coverplate and inlaid neck position markers that visually pop on the ebony fingerboard. Gotoh Mini Tuners where chosen for smooth, stable reliability, and visual appeal.
