I put the Ampeg svt head and Ampeg 8x10 cabinet in storage. With all the gigs, it was time to downsize. This Acoustic Bn6210 is the real deal if you're a Rock Bassist. Everything you need to dial in your sound. I've played several times with this amp before I wanted to write a review. The amp performs like a champ. Plenty of power for most clubs. Direct out is very good. 6 band EQ performs well, Overdrive is cool, Notch Filter is great, Compressor is decent. It will get you through the gig. Plenty of low end for 4-string. Which is all I play. I also bought a BN115 cabinet for the larger gigs. Haven't needed it yet. But paired together(BN6210+BN115) definitely all the power you need at 600 watts. The New Acoustic Bass amps are very underrated and get an unfair rap from some. I love The New stuff. Light weight, portable and powerful. I have played for 30+ years. This is a tremendous value especially if you're a Rock Bassist.

  • I'm very pleased with my new amp.

i play in 2 different bands so i spend a lot of time hauling heavy gear around between gigs and rehearsals, so my main priority was finding something lightweight, and powerful. i had the amp onstage at a very large outdoor venue with an AC/DC Tribute band the day after it arrived. i plugged in my sonic 15" cab for added low end, and it sounded sweet. Gain was set at 10 o'clock, master at 12 o'clock, and this Rig was plenty loud, and clean sounding.we had professional sound people for this show, 20,000 Watt PA system, so i also ran a Direct out to the soundboard, that worked flawlessly.i`ll admit a was a bit nervous bringing a Combo amp to a Big show, but the Acoustic handled it with ease,my band mates loved the tone,i love the overdrive tone ,very flexible with the blend control. The amp is loaded with useful features, and packs a serious punch, even with the 210`s alone. plug in a 15" cab and you can run with the big dogs with ease..the best part is, i no longer have to ask my band mates for help to lift my bass rig up some steps.

For gigging/rehersal. Light on weight, heavy with features! Endless tone capabilaties at your fingertips, add proc in the effects loop, what more could you need? Well how about the ability to just double the already, I |can't believe this little box with 2 10 inch speakers can be this loud by itself and still produce great tone, and plug in an additonal external cabinet for twice the bone rattling wattage! The only thing I don't like about the design is the head's cooling fan uses a vent system directly on top of the unit, just asking to get someone beat down when they set their drink there and it spills...
