Introducing the Orange Ed Sheeran Outlowd ES Series Acoustic Amps

Introducing the Orange Ed Sheeran Outlowd ES Series Acoustic Amps
Michael Molenda

Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is sharing his hit-making approach to acoustic-electric guitar tone by collaborating with Orange Amps to produce the Orange Outlowd By Ed Sheeran acoustic amplifiers. The Outlowd series—available in the United States exclusively at Guitar Center—leaves no player behind, as models are available for home-based composers, buskers on the go and performers who work large stages. There’s a lot to unpack with these versatile amplifiers, which is why Grammy-nominated guitarist and producer Nicholas Veinoglou provides an overview of the features and plugs in to demo the sounds. In this Guitar Center video, Veinoglou focuses on the Outlowd ES3 and Outlowd ES60. The Outlowd ES100 is expected to be available this fall.

The Practice Amp: Outlowd ES3

The 3W, 3 lbs. Orange Outlowd By Ed Sheeran ES3 is designed for home playing and practicing, but it’s portable enough to travel anywhere.

“My favorite thing about the ES3 is how portable it is,” says Veinoglou. “It’s great for practicing at home, but it’s also great for on the go. Maybe you’re going to the beach and want to bring your amp to practice, jam out or play music using its Bluetooth connectivity.

In addition to Bluetooth, the ES3 offers up to 12 hours of play time, USB-C charging, onboard reverb and a leather carry strap.

The Busking Amp: Outlowd ES60

The rechargeable battery-powered Orange Outlowd By Ed Sheeran ES60 is for musicians who like venturing out into the wild to perform impromptu concerts on streets, in parks, and wherever a potential audience may assemble. At almost 21 lbs., it’s still light enough to be easily portable, but with 60 watts of power, it can get your music out there.

“You can take this thing anywhere without having to worry about plugging it in,” says Veinoglou. “The [rechargeable] battery has you covered [up to 12 hours]. There’s also plenty of power on tap, so you’re going to be loud enough to be heard on a city block.”

The ES60 features two channels—one instrument and one microphone—Bluetooth, onboard EQ and reverb, an effects loop, 8" VOTW speaker and a gig bag.

The Stage Amp: Outlowd ES100

Acoustic-electric guitarists can own the stage with the Orange Outlowd By Ed Sheeran ES100. Boasting 100 watts of power to fill almost any venue with sterling sound, the ES100 offers dedicated guitar and mic channels with independent sound-shaping controls, such as EQ with sweepable mids, reverb (hall for guitar and plate for vocals), 48V phantom power (for condenser mics) and an effects loop for integrating additional pedals and processors to your performances. The ES100 also includes a Celestion neodymium speaker system with a 12" driver and 1" tweeter that can reproduce all of the tone and nuances of your acoustic guitar. The ES100 is expected to be available in the Fall of 2026.
