Walrus Audio Lum Texture Engine Reverb Pedal - Guava

Description
Ambient reverb can be more than a wash behind the dry signal, and the Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine reverb pedal is built for players who want reverb to move, fracture and react like part of the performance. Combining elements of three of Walrus Audio's most celebrated ambient effects—the Slö Reverb, Lore Reverse Reverb and Fable Granular Generator—Lüm breaks the input signal into tiny grains and surrounds them with evolving reverb textures for shifting pads, glitching trails and atmospheric sound design. Finished in Walrus Audio's distinctive Guava artwork, this immersive texture engine pairs striking visual appeal with deep sonic exploration. Three granular and textural reverb modes, momentary knob automation, three onboard presets, selectable bypass behavior and a global Stretch engine make Lüm a powerful creative platform for guitarists, synthesists and experimental musicians.
Three Modes for Granular and Textural Reverb
Lüm gives players three distinct ways to reshape the space around their sound. Grain Cloud creates glitching granular textures that shift and evolve around each note, while Grain Verb embeds those fragments inside dense reverb washes for a more immersive and atmospheric response. Forward/Reverse Verb combines forward and reverse reverb algorithms to create a rhythmic interplay between swelling ambience and reversed decay. The Stretch control adjusts the speed of that interaction, while the X knob provides mode-specific control over grain behavior and reverse reverb decay. Together, the three modes offer everything from subtle movement to deeply experimental soundscapes.
Moment Automation, Stretch and Preset Control
The Moment switch lets players automate any one of the pedal's five knobs by holding the switch to glide toward a defined target setting, making it possible to introduce evolving motion, dramatic swells or expressive transitions without manually adjusting controls during performance. Ramp timing can be adjusted by holding Bypass and using the Mode toggle, with 10 ms, 1000 ms and 5000 ms glide-time options for everything from instant shifts to slow ambient transformations. The global Stretch engine shifts the sample rate from 0.5x to 2x speed, producing unique interactions with grain size, reverb decay and filter tone, while three onboard presets—Red, Green and Blue—store sounds and fade seamlessly between settings for smooth live transitions.
Bypass Options for Ambient Trails or Hard Stops
Trails and Instant Cut bypass modes let players choose between natural reverb decay and abrupt rhythmic stops, making Lüm equally comfortable creating expansive ambient backdrops, glitch-inspired transitions and tightly controlled performance effects. It can sit after other wet and modulated pedals for layered textures, or before high-gain sounds when Grain Verb's dense wash becomes part of the drive character itself. Whether you're building cinematic soundscapes, experimental textures or evolving ambient layers, the Walrus Audio Lüm Texture Engine reverb pedal combines the sonic DNA of Slö, Lore and Fable into a single creative platform for players who view reverb as an instrument rather than simply an effect.
