Voodoo Lab

Description

The Voodoo Lab Amp Selector ABY dual Isolated switch/blend pedal is an active routing solution designed to send your guitar signal to multiple amplifiers, modelers and recording destinations with pristine clarity and zero unwanted noise. Unlike some passive ABY boxes that can introduce hum, tone loss and switching artifacts, the Amp Selector ABY combines transformer-isolated outputs, transparent buffering and advanced switching technology to preserve the full character of your signal. Whether running dual amplifiers, integrating tube amps and modelers or routing signals for recording and reamping, this professional-grade pedal delivers flexible signal management without compromising tone.

Transformer-Isolated Outputs for Noise-Free Performance

Unlike passive ABY boxes that can introduce hum, tone loss and grounding problems, the Amp Selector ABY features two transformer-isolated outputs built around premium custom nickel-core transformers. These studio-grade transformers provide exceptional frequency response and preserve both low-end punch and high-frequency detail for a full, dynamic sound. Independent ground lift switches on each output make it easy to eliminate ground-loop noise when running multiple amps or devices simultaneously.

Transparent Buffering and Flexible Signal Control

At the heart of the pedal is a high-performance audio buffer utilizing the Texas Instruments LME49720 op-amp, designed to maintain clarity, presence and high-frequency detail even with long cable runs or complex rigs. Independent level controls for each output allow precise balancing or blending between amps and devices, while a selectable phase invert switch quickly corrects phase issues that can make dual-amp setups sound thin or hollow. A dedicated 1/4" thru output also supports connection to tuners, DI boxes or DAW reamping setups.

Quiet Switching and Customizable Operation Modes

Voodoo Lab Quiet Switching technology uses proprietary JFET and zero-crossing circuitry to eliminate the pops and clicks commonly associated with mechanical ABY pedals, providing seamless transitions during performance. The Amp Selector ABY offers three operational modes to suit different rigs and workflows: A/B/Y mode for classic switching and blending, Direct Access mode for independent output control and Exclusive mode for instant switching between outputs. Powered by any isolated 9V DC output and housed in a durable enclosure, the Voodoo Lab Amp Selector ABY dual-output switch/blend pedal delivers professional signal routing, noise-free isolation and flexible switching for complex stage and studio rigs.
