The rise of Visual Sound is an inspiring story. From modest beginning to one of the premier guitar effects manufacturers in the world, Visual Sound is the embodiment of hard work and persistence paying off. With a line of guitar effects being used from such highly recognizable artists as Weezer, Vince Gill, Sugarland, Paramore, Jonny Lang, Avril Lavigne, Metallica, Bruno Mars and hundreds more, clearly Visual Sound has made its mark in the world of popular music. In 1995, Visual Sound was officially started by Bob Weil and his wife in their apartment in Norwalk Connecticut. A guitarist himself, Weil had become dissatisfied with both the cost and quality of existing volume pedals on the market and decided to create his own. Having no electrical training or knowledge, Bob taught himself through books and trial and error. With the marketing tag of "Real Tone for Real People", Weir's philosophy from day one has been to "make the best products money can buy at a price the average musician can afford." In 1996 he released the Visual Wah-Volume pedal which caught the interest on legendary U2 musician Bono who custom ordered his own Visual Wah pedal. He then created what would become his trademark design: the Jekyll & Hyde Ultimate Overdrive which was the first stompbox to combine two separate effects in one pedal. Currently, The Visual Sounds V2SOH Son of Hyde pedal is available, with heavier distortion, more bottom end and a 10 million cycle switching. He further experimented with innovative pedals like the GarageTone Series Chainsaw Distortion effects pedal which mimics the actual sound of a chainsaw and Oil Can Phaser pedal which features a wide range of swooshing and pulsating analog sounds. There is truly a pedal effect for everyone, from novice to professional. Visual Sound has also launched a highly successful line of V2 Series of pedals, the Route 66 compressor and overdrive system, the H2O Liquid Chorus & Echo and the 1 SPOT power supply. Whether you're a beginning guitarist practicing at home or you fill stadiums across the country, there is undoubtedly a Visual Sound product to assist in making you sound even better. From volume pedals, adaptors, sound converters and much more, Visual Sound has you covered when it comes to top quality, affordable selections.
