This is #6 of the Aged & Signed 50 guitars that have been hand aged by Tom Murphy and signed by Joe Bonamassa. Realized through the collaboration between Joe Bonamassa himself and the Gibson Custom Shop, the Skinnerburst represents over 50 years of Les Paul heritage in a Custom Tom Murphy Aged model that allows the original characteristics of Joe's original 1959 guitar to shine in all it's glory. Also known as 'Principal Skinner', this replica of the original '59 LP captures the colour, design, weight and feel with stunning attention to detail. Known for its unique, bluesy voice, "Skinnerburst" is exceptionally well balanced and Joe is well known to flaunt its capabilities both on stage and in the studio. This superb and rare Les Paul comes with its original case, documents, COA and hangtags. Historically accurate binding colors, aged cellulose trapezoid inlays, hot-hide glue neck construction, and period-correct hardware all complement a breathtaking rendition of Joe's constant stage and studio companion. Only 50 were treated to Gibson Custom's aging process by Tom Murphy and personally signed and played by Joe Bonamassa.
