The ARP 2600 is a legendary semi-modular analog synthesizer introduced in 1971 by ARP Instruments. Famous for its normalled (pre-patched) architecture and screaming 24dB/octave filter, it became an industry standard for sound design and music, famously providing the voice for Star Wars' R2-D2.
