Open Box EMG Metal Works JH James Hetfield Humbucker Signature Set Level 1 Gold

Developed in collaboration with Metallica frontman James Hetfield, the EMG JH James Hetfield "HET" JH humbucker set combines the power of active pickups with the clarity and punch associated with passive designs. After decades of relying on the EMG 81/60 combination, James worked with EMG to create a signature set with a distinctive voice and appearance. The result pairs aggressive attack, articulate response and powerful low end with sleek styling.

Signature Neck and Bridge Pickups Deliver Dynamic Response

The JH-N neck pickup features individual ceramic poles and bobbins with a larger, taller core than the EMG 60, producing increased attack, higher output and a fuller low-end response. The JH-B bridge pickup uses a similarly enlarged core with steel pole pieces rather than the bar magnet design of the EMG 81. This configuration delivers tight, percussive attack with reduced inductance for a cleaner low end, giving players the articulation and power needed for heavy rhythm work and expressive lead playing.

Metal Works Finishes With Solderless Installation System

Both pickups feature stainless steel covers available in a selection of EMG Metal Works finishes, complementing the set's aggressive, understated appearance. The JH set also includes EMG's solderless installation system, with the wiring components needed to integrate the pickups into a compatible guitar without traditional soldering. Combining James' signature sound with streamlined installation and distinctive styling, this set delivers a versatile upgrade for players seeking powerful active tone with enhanced clarity and definition.
