Sustainably sourced all-solid body with torrefied top

Breedlove chose African mahogany for acoustic-electric guitars in its Organic Collection Performer Series. To source the FSC Certified African mahogany, the Breedlove team traveled to the African Congo River Basin Rainforest. The mahogany construction of the Breedlove Performer Concertina in Bourbon Burst delivers a warm, rich tone that's ideal for players looking for a balanced and rich sound. The FSC Certified European spruce top results in a more mature sound and tone. Additionally, torrefied tops are less susceptible to movement with humidification changes.

Breedlove soft cutaway design and Concertina shape

The unique design of Breedlove's soft cutaway balances the higher energy treble notes with the lower energy bass tones. This stylish soft cutaway provides access to all 18 frets on the Breedlove Performer Concertina. Additionally, Breedlove's Concertina shape is a modern take on the classic parlor body. It's small and comfortable, but surprisingly powerful due to its torrefied spruce top, forward X bracing and Breedlove's Sound Optimization research that informs the entire Organic Collection.

Breedlove Natural Sound electronics

The Breedlove Performer Concertina acoustic-electric cutaway model is equipped with Breedlove's Natural Sound electronics. Natural Sound electronics feature soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, plus easy battery replacement.

Thin UV finish

The Breedlove Performer Concertina CE features a significantly thinner UV-finished top. The thin UV-finished top reduces weight and also contributes to a more complex sound with sustained overtones. Other special features of the Breedlove Performer Concertina acoustic-electric include forward X bracing, brass inlays, gold frets and gold tuners. The fretboard and bridge are also made from sustainably sourced African ebony.
