Noble & Cooley

Description

Created to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Noble & Cooley Buffalo Trace 250th anniversary snare drum represents a collaboration between two historic American makers: Buffalo Trace Distillery and Noble & Cooley. At its core is a proprietary stave-bent shell design developed by Noble & Cooley Master Craftsman Ricardo Parra that combines authentic Buffalo Trace barrel staves with a North American steam-bent maple center section. This 1.4" oak/maple shell blends the projection, articulation and sensitivity of stave construction with the warmth, sustain and harmonic complexity of a steam-bent shell, creating a voice that is both expressive and versatile. Available in 14x6 and 14x7" configurations, this limited-edition snare delivers distinctive sound, craftsmanship and collectability in equal measure..

Stave-Bent Oak and Maple Shell Design

The shell construction is the defining feature of this limited-edition drum. Its upper and lower sections are made from authentic Buffalo Trace barrel staves, giving the drum the focused projection, sensitivity and immediate response associated with stave construction. The center section uses steam-bent North American maple to add warmth, sustain and harmonic complexity. Together, these elements create a snare voice that feels articulate under the sticks while retaining the body and musicality players expect from a premium maple shell.

Curly Maple Rings and 45-Degree Bearing Edges

Curly maple reinforcement rings provide structural stability while helping the shell speak as a unified instrument. A 45-degree bearing edge supports clean head contact, crisp attack and responsive snare articulation across dynamic playing. Remo heads come installed from the factory, with a Coated Ambassador batter head and Hazy Snare Side resonant head giving players a familiar, reliable foundation for tuning. Whether used for tight backbeats, brushwork or expressive studio parts, this shell design offers strong control across a wide tuning range.

Commemorative Hardware and Rickhouse Relic Finish

The visual details reinforce the collaboration’s distilling heritage. Die-cast hoops in an antique copper finish reference the copper used in the bourbon-making process, while black nickel-over-brass lugs, a matching throw-off and butt-end complete the premium hardware package. The Rickhouse Relic finish captures the character of aged oak barrels, complemented by a co-branded antique copper badge and aged interior paper label. Made in the U.S., the Noble & Cooley Buffalo Trace 250th anniversary stave-bent snare drum is a distinctive limited-edition instrument built for players, producers and collectors.
