Description
Distinctive black limba construction gives the Gretsch Limited-Edition Electromatic Black Limba CVT electric guitar a character all its own. Its lean double-cut body features beveled contours and a gloss Sunburst finish that highlights the wood grain, while a matching bolt-on black limba neck continues the look from end to end. Twin Six humbuckers provide powerful output with balance and articulation, complemented by a streamlined control layout and a treble bleed circuit that helps retain clarity at reduced volume settings. A bound rosewood fingerboard, pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays and gold hardware complete this limited-edition CVT with unmistakable Gretsch detail.
Solid Black Limba Body With Beveled Contours
The solid black limba body brings distinctive grain and natural variation to the compact CVT silhouette. Beveled contours refine the double-cut shape for comfortable positioning against the player, while the gloss Sunburst finish accentuates the character of the wood. A bolt-on black limba neck creates a visually cohesive design and gives this limited-edition model a construction story that extends beyond its finish. The result is a retro-inspired Gretsch solidbody with an expressive natural-wood appearance and a streamlined profile suited to rehearsals, recording sessions and live performance.
Performance “C” Neck Offers Familiar Playability
A Performance “C” neck profile gives the CVT a comfortable, fast-playing foundation. The 24.6" scale length contributes to a responsive feel, while the 12"-radius bound rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth platform for chord work, bends and lead playing. Its 22 medium-jumbo frets offer a substantial fretting surface without feeling oversized. Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays add a signature Gretsch visual element, and the 1.6875" Graph Tech NuBone nut supports clean string spacing and consistent performance across the fingerboard.
Twin Six Humbuckers Balance Power and Articulation
Twin Six humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions give the Electromatic Black Limba CVT a powerful voice with clear articulation and balanced response. A three-position toggle provides direct access to each pickup or both together, making it easy to move among fuller neck tones, blended textures and a more focused bridge sound. Master volume and master tone controls keep adjustments straightforward, while the treble bleed circuit helps preserve high-frequency detail as the volume is reduced. This focused layout supports quick tonal changes without crowding the guitar with unnecessary controls.
Adjustable Wraparound Bridge and Gold Hardware
An adjustable wraparound bridge combines a compact design with individual saddles for setting intonation. Die-cast sealed tuning machines complete the dependable hardware layout, while knurled plain-top metal knobs provide a secure surface for volume and tone adjustments. Gold pickup covers and matching gold hardware stand out against the Sunburst finish, giving the guitar an elevated limited-edition appearance. A 3-ply black, white and black pickguard adds crisp contrast while maintaining the direct, retro-refined character of the CVT design.
Black Limba Character Meets Streamlined Gretsch Performance
Black limba construction, beveled contours and gold hardware give this limited-edition model an identity that extends well beyond a special finish. Twin Six humbuckers provide power and articulation, while the simple switching layout and treble bleed circuit make its range easy to manage during writing, rehearsal, recording and performance. For players drawn to natural wood character, compact solidbody ergonomics and direct humbucking control, the Gretsch Limited-Edition Electromatic Black Limba CVT electric guitar offers a focused combination of distinctive style and everyday playability.
