Product Description:

Dave Mustaine named his signature acoustic-electric guitar "Mako" because of its shark gill-shaped soundhole, dorsal fin-shaped bridge, and shark's teeth pearl inlays. Overview

Dave Mustaine named his signature acoustic-electric guitar "Mako" because of its shark gill-shaped soundhole, dorsal fin-shaped bridge, and shark's teeth pearl inlays. The soundhole provides plenty of projection while the sharp Florentine cutaway on the mahogany body with spruce top promotes upper fretboard shredding. The built-in tuner ensures the only dischords you play are intentional. Dave uses his Mako in the studio for layering and texturing tracks and features it on the intro to "The Hardest Part of Letting Go." Other distinctive features on the Dave Mustaine Mako include an ebony fingerboard, black NuBone nut and saddle, Grover tuners, and Fishman ISYS+ preamp with the aforementioned tuner.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I received exceptional service from Eric at the Montage Guitar Center and the guitar is awesome! It is exactly what I was hoping for and it plays well. I am a newer player and this guitar is set up well and easy to play.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Beautiful guitar!!!!! It needed a setup when I received it, but guitar center did that free. After it was setup, it plays and sounds amazing. I changed the 12 guage strings for 10 guage and it still sounds great. Couldn't be happier.

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds AWESOME through effects and my amps, it really SINGS! It stays in tune wonderfully also. My real disappointment is the frets. I've had mine since 12/10/13 and the frets have already worn down significantly so that I'm now getting the dreaded "tinking" sounds instead of the crystal clear notes I used to hear on it. I have guitars I've played aggressively for nearly 20 years that still haven't worn down like this one. If it wasn't for the premature fret wear-down I'd be raving about this guitar all day.

Print not a bright as pics, but great player guitar

Comments about Dean Dave Mustaine Mako Glory Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

The guitar plays great and sounds great... only issue is the American flag color print doesn't look anywhere NEAR as bright as the pics. The colors aren't as bright and full. Looks faded.
