Bring the warmth of mahogany and the balanced response of maple to your drum setup with the DW Collector's Series Maple/Mahogany Hard Satin 4-piece shell pack, available exclusively at Guitar Center. Combining maple and mahogany in DW's Vertical Low Timbre (VLT) shell construction, this kit features 9-ply tom shells and an 11-ply bass drum for a blend of tonal depth, resonance and articulation. The configuration includes 10x8" and 12x9" rack toms, a 16x14" floor tom and a 22x18" bass drum, providing a versatile foundation for a range of playing styles. DW True-Hoops, Turret lugs and heads by Remo complete the setup, while the Gold Top Hard Satin finish and chrome hardware give the kit a distinctive appearance.

Maple and Mahogany VLT Shells for Rich Tonal Character

The combination of maple and mahogany brings together the balanced attack and projection of maple with the warmth and low-frequency emphasis associated with mahogany. DW's VLT construction incorporates vertically oriented wood grain to influence the shells' fundamental pitch and resonance. The 9-ply tom shells provide a consistent foundation across the rack and floor toms, while the 11-ply bass drum supports a full, substantial low-end response. With two rack toms and a 16" floor tom, the configuration offers a range of pitches and expressive possibilities, complemented by the depth and presence of the 22" bass drum.

Professional DW Hardware With Exclusive Gold Top Finish

DW True-Hoops and Turret lugs provide dependable tuning hardware across the kit, while DW heads by Remo are supplied for both batter and resonant sides. The Gold Top Hard Satin finish pairs with chrome hardware for a distinctive visual character that complements the maple/mahogany shells. Combining a versatile four-piece configuration, DW VLT shell design and established Collector's Series appointments, the Guitar Center Exclusive DW Collector's Series Maple/Mahogany Hard Satin 4-piece shell pack provides a compelling foundation for a personalized drum setup.
