CRANBORNE AUDIO N22 Cat 5 Snake and C.A.S.T. Breakout Box

Run four channels of balanced analog audio between distant locations without dragging four separate XLR cables across the room. The Cranborne Audio N22 Cat 5 Snake and C.A.S.T. Breakout Box uses a single shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6 or Cat 7 cable to transport four analog channels—including 48V phantom power—over distances up to 330'. Completely passive operation requires no external power, while two balanced combo inputs, two balanced 1/4" outputs and two balanced XLR outputs provide flexible connections for studios, live rigs and other audio systems. Pair two N22 units for a straightforward point-to-point analog snake, or connect the breakout box with other C.A.S.T.-enabled equipment to reduce cable clutter while keeping I/O close to where it's needed.

Expand C.A.S.T. Connectivity Throughout Your Studio

When paired with a Cranborne Audio 500R8 or 500ADAT, the N22 can send balanced sources directly to the interface for recording while receiving a stereo monitor mix over the same C.A.S.T. connection for monitoring or reamping. Dedicated C.A.S.T. input and output ports also support integration with another N22, an N22H or other compatible devices. Its palm-sized rugged metal enclosure includes fixing holes for permanent installation, cable-tie points for cleaner wiring and non-slip rubber feet for portable use, making this passive breakout box a practical way to extend analog connectivity around a studio or stage.
