Bettermaker Mastering Limiter 2.0
Description
In mastering, the final dynamics processor often carries the most responsibility. The Bettermaker Mastering Limiter 2.0 combines a 100% analog signal path with the precision, recall and workflow speed of modern digital control. Designed for mastering engineers, mix engineers and hybrid studios, it provides transparent peak control, flexible clipping, mid/side color shaping and detailed limiter response management while preserving the fidelity of the source material. With USB-based DAW integration, extensive preset storage, snapshot automation and precise parameter control, the Mastering Limiter 2.0 bridges the gap between analog mastering hardware and recall-based production workflows.
Analog Limiting With Detailed Response Control
The Mastering Limiter 2.0 offers up to 20dB of gain reduction with adjustable attack and release controls, faster release behavior, sidechain filtering and high-frequency emphasis for more detailed limiter response. Its analog signal path delivers wide frequency response, low distortion and strong dynamic range while maintaining transparency during demanding mastering applications. Additional tools such as true relay bypass, input/output link, automatic makeup gain when using the clipper and dedicated mid/side processing give engineers precise control over final program material.
Clipper and Color Tools for Final Polish
Beyond transparent limiting, the Mastering Limiter 2.0 includes an improved clipper section with high and low soft-clip modes plus Soft Clip Trim for managing transient-heavy material. A dedicated color section provides mid/side matrix processing along with even and odd harmonic shaping, giving engineers additional ways to add density, dimension or subtle tonal character before the final output stage. A +8dB boost at either 2kHz or 7kHz further expands its tone-shaping range, making the unit equally useful for clean peak control and more character-driven mastering moves.
Hybrid Workflow With Complete DAW Recall
While audio remains fully analog through balanced XLR connections, USB connectivity allows complete hardware control and recall directly from a DAW using the included plugin. Supported in AAX, AU and VST3 formats, the system enables instant session recall, automation and parameter management without manual note-taking or photos of settings. Internal memory stores up to 400 presets directly within the hardware, while snapshot functionality allows engineers to create and automate up to 32 different limiter states within a single session.
Built for Professional Mastering Environments
Designed for high-end studio applications, the Mastering Limiter 2.0 features balanced XLR connectivity, improved metering, a high-contrast screen, precision metering calibration and robust 2U rackmount construction. Its low-noise analog design provides 107dB of dynamic range, frequency response from 6Hz–27kHz and maximum output levels up to +27dBu. With firmware updates, power-loss state memory and extensive DAW compatibility, the Bettermaker Mastering Limiter 2.0 delivers the analog sound quality, precision control and recall capabilities demanded by today’s mastering professionals.
