The Hydrasynth Desktop brings the same advanced sound engine as the Hydrasynth keyboard into a flexible 5U rackmountable module with 24 velocity- and pressure-sensitive Polytouch pads for expressive control without an external keyboard. With three oscillators, dual Mutants, dual filters, deep modulation, 1,024 patch locations and extensive MIDI, USB and CV/Gate connectivity, it delivers a full Hydrasynth experience in a compact format. Polytouch Pads for Expressive Standalone Play

The 24 Polytouch pads make the Hydrasynth Desktop more than a sound module. Each pad responds to velocity and polyphonic pressure, allowing you to shape notes expressively while designing sounds or performing without connecting a separate controller. Multiple pad layouts and scale options make it easy to explore melodic ideas, trigger harmonies and interact with patches in a tactile way. This gives the compact synth its own playable identity while preserving the expressive feel that defines the Hydrasynth family.

Advanced Wavemorphing Sound Engine

Three oscillators form the foundation of the synth engine, with access to 219 single-cycle waveforms and powerful wavemorphing on oscillators 1 and 2. ASM’s WAVELIST mode lets you choose eight waves, arrange them in a custom order and morph between them using modulation sources, macros or performance gestures. Dual Mutants expand each oscillator with FM, hard sync, WavStack, harmonic sweeping and multiple forms of pulse-width shaping. Together, these tools create a wide sonic range, from glassy evolving pads and animated sequences to aggressive basses, leads and experimental textures.

Flexible Filters, Modulation and Macros

Dual filters provide extensive tone shaping, with Filter 1 offering 16 models and Filter 2 delivering SEM-style continuous response. They can be routed in series or parallel, allowing sounds to be sculpted with subtle movement or dramatic complexity. Five LFOs, five DAHDSR envelopes and a 32-slot modulation matrix create deep animation across nearly every part of the engine. Eight assignable Macro controls make complex sound changes playable in real time, giving performers and sound designers immediate access to dramatic transformations.

Rackmount Design With Studio and Modular Connectivity

The compact metal chassis is designed for desktop use or standard 19" rack installation with the included rack ears. MIDI In, Out and Thru, USB MIDI, balanced stereo outputs and a rear headphone output make it easy to connect in studio or stage setups. CV/Gate and Mod In/Out support multiple standards, including Eurorack, Buchla-style 1.2V/octave and Hz/V systems. This wide connectivity allows the Hydrasynth Desktop to function as a powerful bridge between hardware synths, modular rigs, DAWs and performance controllers.
