What pick should I use?
Much like selecting guitar strings, the best pick to use will depend very much on your own preference. The thickness of the pick will affect the attack of your tone. Thinner picks tend to be brighter, while heavier picks tend to be warmer. Try out several different sizes and materials of picks with a variety of different playing styles. It won't be long before you find a pick you really like. You may even prefer different picks for different playing styles. When playing lead electric guitar I like a rather heavy pick, but I prefer a more flexible pick for playing acoustic and rhythm guitar.
