Description

The Taylor Sunset Blvd 24ce blends earthy mahogany warmth, modern Taylor performance and vintage California vibes in a Guitar Center Exclusive Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric. Inspired by Guitar Center’s iconic Hollywood flagship, it’s dressed in a striking Sunset Edgeburst finish that evokes the warm glow of a Southern California summer evening. A solid neo-tropical mahogany top paired with layered sapele back and sides gives the Sunset Blvd 24ce a warm, midrange-rich voice with controlled low end and clear articulation. Taylor’s V-Class bracing enhances sustain, volume and intonation, while a slender maple neck and genuine West African ebony fingerboard deliver the smooth, effortless playability that defines the Taylor experience. Equipped with Fishman Presys VT electronics, the Sunset Blvd 24ce is ready for everything from intimate songwriting sessions to plugged-in live performance.

Neo-Tropical Mahogany Warmth With Grand Auditorium Versatility

A solid neo-tropical mahogany top gives the Sunset Blvd 24ce its warm, earthy tonal character with strong midrange presence and controlled low-end response. Compared to spruce-topped acoustics, mahogany produces a woodier, more focused voice that remains clear and articulate without excessive brightness. Layered sapele back and sides complement the mahogany top with added balance and definition, while Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape delivers the versatility to handle fingerstyle playing, strumming and flatpicking with equal confidence. Taylor’s C-Class bracing architecture enhances sustain and projection while emphasizing a fuller low-end response, giving the Sunset Blvd 24ce a surprisingly rich and powerful voice for its comfortable body size.

Fast Maple Neck With Genuine Ebony Fingerboard

A slender maple neck and genuine West African ebony fingerboard give the Sunset Blvd 24ce the smooth, effortless playability long associated with Taylor acoustics. The comfortable Taylor neck profile encourages fluid movement across the fingerboard, while the Venetian cutaway provides easy access to higher frets for lead playing and melodic work. Ebony contributes crisp note attack and smooth response under the fingers, helping the guitar maintain clarity and articulation across a wide range of playing dynamics.

Fishman Presys VT Electronics for Natural Amplified Tone

The Fishman Presys VT system provides simple, reliable acoustic amplification with a natural amplified voice that preserves the guitar’s warm tonal character. Volume and tone controls mounted discreetly inside the soundhole keep the design clean and uncluttered while allowing quick adjustments during performance. Whether plugged into a PA system, acoustic amp or recording interface, the Presys VT system delivers clear, balanced acoustic tone suited for live performance, songwriting and studio use.

Vintage California Vibes and Exclusive Sunset Edgeburst Finish

The Sunset Blvd 24ce pairs Taylor’s understated modern aesthetic with visual details inspired by the legendary energy of Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard. The exclusive Sunset Edgeburst finish gives the guitar a warm, vintage California-inspired glow, while the matte finish allows the wood grain and color transitions to remain soft and organic. Additional appointments including Italian acrylic dot inlays, a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard, chrome hardware and a unique rosette reinforce the guitar’s distinctive visual identity while preserving the clean, refined look that defines Taylor acoustics.

A Versatile Taylor Inspired by the Legendary Sunset Strip

The Taylor Sunset Blvd 24ce combines earthy mahogany warmth, versatile Grand Auditorium performance and smooth Taylor playability in a Guitar Center Exclusive acoustic-electric inspired by one of music’s most iconic destinations. From its sleek maple neck and effortless ebony fingerboard to its natural-sounding Fishman electronics and striking Sunset Edgeburst finish, every element of the guitar is designed to encourage expressive playing across a wide range of styles. Comfortable, articulate and visually distinctive, the Sunset Blvd 24ce delivers a fresh California-inspired take on the modern Taylor acoustic experience.

The mahogany top on this guitar absolutely shines with its warm balanced tone and projection. This is the first guitar I ever bought new because you simply get so much value for the money. Great purchase if you don't wanna break the bank and still have high quality sound and playability.

Went through 3 9v batteries in a few days before I saw an LED on the circuit board that stayed on. Only way to turn it off is to remove the cable to the amp. Forget, and you'll need another battery. I guess putting the off switch in the jack sounds clever, but I don't like it.

  • Amazing sound and easy to play

I was looking for a backup acoustic with built in pickups that I could play out with and go directly into the pa with or an acoustic amp. I played a bunch of Yamahas that the sales guy told me were comparable to this model but cheaper and none of them really did it for me. I kept coming back to this one and after 2 weeks of playing it at home unplugged I really love this guitar. The tone is great and it has a a really sweet midrange sound that's not overly bassy. it's very balanced and easy to play. The neck is thin and it's super light and well built. It's a great gigging guitar and it's now the first guitar I pick up because it's just got such a great feel and sound. I'll always love my higher end Martin and my vintage 65 harmony sovereign but I find that this guitar is just so light and a perfect size and sounds so good that it's become my main guitar. It looks really great too and I love the finish.

The electronics failed at a gig on my Martin D-28 while on the road. I needed a guitar quickly before the next gig. I found this guitar at Guitar Center and after playing several guitars, knew immediately that this would be a good replacement. I was impressed by the easy playability, the tone and the appearance of the guitar. That night at the gig, this guitar fit perfectly in our mix, cut through just right. This will likely become my primary guitar! I was very impressed with how it performed. You will not be disappointed in this guitar!
