Solid Spruce Top and Mahogany Body Deliver Shimmering Resonance

The Airwave 12 pairs a solid spruce top with a semi-hollow mahogany body, creating a rich, responsive tonal foundation that complements the natural harmonic complexity of 12 strings. The spruce top contributes clarity, brightness and dynamic sensitivity, while the mahogany back adds warmth and midrange depth for a full, balanced electric voice. A mahogany center block supports sustain and helps control unwanted feedback, allowing the instrument to retain definition when amplified. Reverend's distinctive Shooting Star f-holes give the guitar a striking visual identity while reflecting its open, resonant construction. From gently picked arpeggios to expansive chord voicings, the combination of spruce, mahogany and semi-hollow design brings warmth, articulation and sparkling harmonic detail to the Airwave's unmistakable 12-string sound.

Three-Piece Mahogany Neck Supports Comfortable 12-String Playing

The Airwave 12 features a three-piece mahogany neck engineered for strength and stability, providing a dependable foundation for the additional tension of 12 strings. Its Medium Oval profile offers a comfortable, supportive grip, while the 24.75" scale provides a familiar playing feel with slightly more relaxed string tension than longer-scale designs. A 1.75" nut width accommodates the paired strings with comfortable spacing for intricate chord voicings and precise fretting. The ebony fingerboard features a 12" radius and 22 frets, offering a smooth, controlled surface for expressive playing across the neck. A dual-action truss rod with headstock access allows convenient adjustment, completing a thoughtfully designed neck that balances 12-string stability with everyday playing comfort.

Hum-Canceling Steelhead P90s Deliver Clear, Expansive Electric Tone

A pair of Reverend Steelhead P90 pickups gives the Airwave 12 a rich, articulate electric voice with the punch and harmonic character of traditional P90s, enhanced by hum-canceling construction that helps minimize unwanted single-coil noise. Individually voiced neck and bridge pickups provide balanced output and complementary tonal character, allowing the guitar's shimmering upper harmonics and full-bodied response to remain clear and expressive. A three-way selector offers familiar pickup combinations, while master volume and tone controls provide straightforward sound shaping. Reverend's passive Bass Contour control adds another dimension of versatility, allowing players to tighten the low end and bring greater definition to complex 12-string chords. A treble bleed circuit preserves high-frequency clarity as the volume is reduced, maintaining the Airwave's sparkling character across different playing dynamics.

Individual String Intonation and Lightweight Tuners for Enhanced Performance

The Airwave 12 incorporates specialized hardware designed to address the practical demands of 12-string electric performance. Its string-through-body bridge allows each of the 12 strings to be intonated individually, providing precise adjustment for the paired courses and helping chords remain clear and harmonically balanced across the fingerboard. An aluminum ferrule block anchors the strings while contributing to sustain and sparkling overtones. Reverend Pin-Lock tuners provide dependable tuning control, while lightweight pearloid buttons reduce headstock weight to improve the instrument's overall balance and handling. A 1.75"-wide Boneite nut supports the paired-string arrangement, completing a carefully considered hardware package that makes tuning, intonation and comfortable playing central to the Airwave's design.
