Metal heads.... This is it ! ! !

By Machine Gun

from Carson, CA

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

I have three Wah's. The standard, Zakk's and Dimebag's. Tuned to "D" the standard wah can't handle the tone. Zakk's Wah is perfect for getting that Zakk sound, but nothing else. I play Pauls (Gibson, Epi, and ESP/LTD) I found myself wanting more control. I wanted a better range of sweeps and tone. I bought the Dimebag Wah. Very Cool. Easy to use and play with. Has a light at the bottom so you always know it's on or off. I can use it in any tuning D or E. I don't think I'll need another pedal. Anyone want a used Zakk and standard Wah pedals?

Ready For War

By Kellraiser

from Denton, TX

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

This pedal is an absolute no brainer for any serious musician out there. DON'T SETTLE FOR ANYTHING ELSE! Dunlop and Dimebag had in mind every kind of music for this rendition of the Crybaby (not just metal). Also every kind of situation you are sure to encounter has been addressed... Packaging includes: Adjustable torque clutch and Allen head screw wrench so you set the action! Fasel inductor sweetness!!! A six way range selector for extended sweep!!! Switchable output jacks so you are not traped in your pedal setup!!! Fine tuning, volume, and Variable Q controls! Dual indicator lights for darkened stages! Boost selector! Noise free switching! Hell, the foot pedal is even covered in skate grip tape so "When you get beer on your feet, you won't slip on the pedal!" (Classic Dime quote!) In short, there has never been another Wah like this one... and there has never been another guitarist like Dime! Forget about VOX, Morley, and Ibanez - they don't hold a candle to this beauty! "GETCHA PULL OFF IT MAN!"

unbeleivable

By anonomys

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

This pedal is unbelivable! I bought today on a whim and took it home knowing that if i din't like i could take it back. I've used the digitech combo with the wah and this one blows it out of the park. It's great sound. The on off switch is a little tricky to get used to at first and the tone knobs for the boost are a little flimsy but if you dont abuse them they should last. I would definatly recomend this pedal.

The Crybaby From Hell Kills!!!!!

By Jakegloveslap

from Portland, OR.

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

The Dime Crybaby From Hell is probably one of the most killer wahs I've ever used. I'm trying to think of something I dont like about it, but I cant. The five way selector on the side makes it all the better. It's so clear, I didn't know it was me playing, cuz it actually sounds good. If I were you, I'd probably only play it in the jungle or in a backyard, because the camo graphics are more stylish than the traditional black like my other pedals. ROCK ON!!!

True Multi-Wah Pedal

By Pedalbored

from Harlan, KY

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

I've own this pedal for about 3 years now and i must say its the best out there. Can get everything from Hendrix to Cantrell (Alice In Chains) to Dimebag himself. You can set it up to sound however you desire can even tweak it to become a "Set Wah" pedal to where it dont make much moise when you go from toe down to heel up sound so you can use this baby to become a great lead boost or add more character to tone. The 3 knobs on the side really let you get any desired sound you wish and the 6 way knob on the right side allows for drastic change in over all sound. Spend some time with it and tweak it to and Crybaby Wah Wah sound out there try to get that Set Wah sound you want. The skateboard grip it is great to your foot dont come off this pedal until you want it. Also the red switch on the right for boost really helps out when it comes time to steal the spot light with some soloing. Great for any style and built like a tank.

more than what i expected

By chemicalsoul16000

from NJ, Teaneck

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

all i wanted from a wahwah pedal is that it can cut through heavy distortion. and this guy from the store showed me this pedal. there's only one left thing to say: my quest for looking the best wah pedal is over. it has boost control, 6 different types of wah settings, volume control, fine tune and a variable q filter. everything you need to wah the hell out of your lead solo. and not to mention the cool design.

Great Wah, But...

By Thrumple

from reston, va

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

They didn't publish my original review, but I'm including this bit regardless... Again: Great wah--no argument there. However, be sure you get a chance to stomp on it for a bit before buying. The nubbin dials on the left side are plastic and a bit weak. Also, I had to use an allen wrench (hex key) to tighten the selector knob on the right side (out of the box) in order to keep the knob from twisting uselessly around its post. Also, again: You WILL need to rely on either your perfectly attuned ears or (more likely) your eyes to determine if the pedal is turned on or not. The "on" button is a bit weak compared to, say, the original CryBaby, making the tactile on/off basically impossible while playing live. Last: In my experience, the pass-through definitely mucks the signal. I typically use the wah between guitar and amp, so results may differ, but I personally would never use this pedal in a series intended for anything but dedicated solo applications--and only after extensive testing with other components.

The Dunlop DB-01 Dime ...

By Anonymous

from Undisclosed

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

The Dunlop DB-01 Dime Crybaby From Hell comes straight from hell! The sound, the clarity is incrediable. I have not heard a cleaner, crisper and a wah with such amazing turnover. You remember the first time you heard Hendrix slam high on the register of the wah and back down and heard the bass and darker side of the wah. This was lets you hear the entire sound of what a wah should sound like. You can actually hear the difference between both. From the first time I heard this wah and played a solo on it with distortion, it reminded me of watching Metallica and hearing the clarity of Hammits' solos through the wah. Great buy. Great Value. Use your DIME WAH

Awesome cry baby for cheap price!!!

By person

from (classified)

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

When i put in experience with product, i said i have heard about it. I actually have heard it. It gave a great sound! The pedal i use gives hardly any wah on the frets above the 12th fret, but this held it to the 20th! the guy playing in had this amazing 100-frets-per-second riff and the wah made it destroy my eardrums (that is a good thing). If you got this money and want to sound even BETTER than the pros, buy this!

pretty awsome

By rusty

from ?,?

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

Very good wah pedal. When they say extended sweep they mean it. It has a very wide range. The tone gets very high, and extremely bassy. The range selector is nice, although i dont use it a lot. The boost is nice but does add quite a bit of noise if the volume on the wah is up. the variable q and fine tune is also a great feature. i usually dont mess with them a lot, i have them on one setting. It is much different than a classic or other crybaby. There is much more bass. Thats a good thing, but depending on your needs could be bad. You cant use it in the toe up position to thicken up leads because it will make the bass to flubby if you know what i mean. but if thats not a concern then its great. i would imagine it works great with down tunings, but i cant say because i play in basically e standard 99.9% of the time. I play metallica, amongst other thrash, and other blues inspired leads of my own. I love it although sometimes i wish it sound it a little more like a classic wah, but dont me wrong it sounds great and is maybe the best wah out there, it just depends on your needs and style.

This is my first wah pedal, and boy do I not have any regrets! The Dimebag has a versatile range of wah effects that cover all the bases in the genres I play. Who doesn't like a wah pedal to play around with anyway?

i got this wah to give some DEP sounds but i found myself using this wah to get all sort of sounds the only thing i wish i could change is to make it an auto wah because sometimes i leave the wah on and walk off and it totally messes up your tone.

surprisingly better with a clean channel

        By pantera4ever

        from USA

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

I have to say that i was incredibly surprised at the pedal. It is a great wah-wah with loads of distortion (like dimebag liked) but it is way better with a clean tone. I am a huge pantera fan but if you want a pedal that is awesome with distortion, i would suggest the Zack Wylde cry baby or the 535-Q, but still it is a great pedal.

        Great Pedal!

        By Mike

        from Elk Mound, WI

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

This is a truly versatile wah. The best I have ever owned; it's tough, its got all the range you need, and it doesn't cut your tone. The volume boost works awesome and really brings you out of the mix but keep the volume boost off if you go to a clean channel. I'm very impressed with the sweep and I love that it's adjustable from dark and throaty to those bright, soloing tones. Plus this pedal is tough, its a Dunlop, that's what I expect from them is a durable product. I've owned this for about 6 months now and I by no means baby it getting kicked around on stage and rolling around in my truck. The pedal just looks cool too, the paint is tough and doesn't really show scratches and the grip tape doesn't peel up which is nice. Overall, I think it's a great pedal for anyone. Especially if you're on the fence over a couple different pedals...this one is so diverse, I'm sure it will meet your needs perfectly!

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

This is the 3rd wah pedal i've owned and i'll tell you everyting!!!! The customization is pretty sick , you can switch it up to several styles\depths depending on your wah needs, long story short if your looking for the HOLY GRAIL of wah pedals THIS is your pedal !!! the design is solid (except the grip tape which comes off if you use it frequently like I do) but thats an easy fix just get some grip tape from your spare skateboard parts and there you go !!! I'm selling my other 2 pedals this is a keeper

        Most versatile wah

        By Steve Kheboian

        from Boston, MA

Comments about Dunlop DB-01 Dimebag Cry Baby From Hell:

This wah has a lot of options. Practically everything is tweakable. Very wide range that can be applied to different genres thanks to the six-way knob, and wide tone use with the fine-tune and variable-q. Well worth the money over a 535q, and the best from dunlop's signature line. Also has a wicked awesome paint job, and is durable, too.
