DW

Description

With its 14x3.14" dimensions, the Guitar Center Exclusive DW Collector's Series Pure Cherry Pi snare drum with chrome hardware offers a distinctive take on shallow-shell snare design. The 11-ply cherry shell features DW's HVLT construction and 60-degree bearing edges, combining a full-size playing surface with an exceptionally shallow depth. This compact configuration gives drummers an alternative to traditional deeper snares, whether used as a primary drum or an additional voice in their setup. DW True-Hoops, Turret lugs and a MAG throw-off provide reliable tuning and snare engagement, while DW heads by Remo complete the playing surface. Made in the USA, the Pure Cherry Pi snare pairs its specialized shell construction with a striking Ruby Glass Finish Ply and chrome hardware.

Cherry HVLT Shell With Professional DW Hardware

The Pure Cherry Pi's 11-ply cherry shell incorporates DW's HVLT construction and 60-degree bearing edges, establishing the foundation for its distinctive acoustic character. Its 3.14" depth creates a markedly different shell profile from conventional snare drums while retaining a familiar 14" diameter. DW True-Hoops and Turret lugs provide the hardware for precise head tensioning, while the MAG throw-off allows quick engagement and disengagement of the snare wires. Together, these components give drummers the familiar tuning and control features of the Collector's Series in an unusually shallow configuration.

A Distinctive Addition to Any Snare Collection

Combining an unconventional shell depth with cherry construction and established DW hardware, the Guitar Center Exclusive Pure Cherry Pi offers a specialized option for drummers looking beyond traditional snare configurations. Its Ruby Glass Finish Ply and chrome appointments complement the compact design, while American manufacturing reinforces its Collector's Series identity. For players exploring different snare sizes and shell constructions, the DW Collector's Series Pure Cherry Pi snare drum with chrome hardware brings a distinctive design to the kit.
