Higher in pitch than a bass drum but lower than a snare, the tenor drum acts as the middle voice of a battery. Often, these tonal drums come in sets of 5 with each drum varying in pitch (lowest to highest, from left to right). This configuration is known as a "quint", and that's what you'll find in this selection.
